It's legit probably my only gripe against owning an Android device and what's going to push me to get the iPhone 5 whenever it releases.

When I first bought my Galaxy S, like RIGHT when it came out, Cupcake released a few months later I believe. I wasn't able to actually get it until 5 or 6 months later. It was the most ridiculous thing. At the very least I know I'll never get another Samsung phone. They abandon new phones QUICK.

Samsung saw what happened with the original S and corrected. They're currently one of the quickest updating, most open oems. No locked down phones, and they publish source day of official OTA like they're supposed to. shyt, they even hired CM's founder.

Definitely worth another look imo. They haven't presold almost 10 mil S3s for nothing.

But agreed, that update fiasco was bs.

I just loaded up the RC of CM9 too. Looks like i'll be going back to stock until they integrate all of the features of Jellybean into it.

You know the i5 is still going to be a good phone. It's really coming down to which ecosystem you prefer at this point. Quality shyt on both sides.

Once Apple gets on that lte, nfc, larger screen game there's going to be even fewer differentiating factors.

:manny:

Still GSDG all day though.

No sd slot sucks. Esp. since it only goes up to 16gb.

For the price it isn't a purchase killer, and I get that they're pushing their cloud services ... but sometimes you can't get to the internet and access the cloud. The amount of songs/movies I keep on my laptop far exceed 8gb, and to charge $50 for 8 gigs is crazy.

Admittedly better than the Kindle Fire that I bought for my mom at the same price, but idk about pulling the trigger on it. If it had the sd slot I'd buy it RIGHT now.
