Stadia shutting down on the 18th how the fukk Google even got a seat at the table? :mjlol:
Google complains Microsoft will gain an unfair advantage in a business they decided wasn't viable and they're exiting. Nvidia complains about Microsoft gaining an unfair advantage in Cloud from Activision who doesn't offer their games on Nvidia devices for cloud streaming to begin with. Nobody is losing anything.

It's like people forget (or ignore) how MS acts in these situations.

Software giant has avoided scrutiny while openly supporting actions against Apple, Amazon, Facebook and Google, and reportedly ducked rules being established in new antitrust bills.

Microsoft has filed an amicus brief supporting Epic Games in its appeal against Apple, and argues that, "the potential antitrust issues stretch far beyond gaming." As Epic Games continues to file its appeal against the 2021 ruling that chiefly favored Apple, interested parties have been contributing supporting filings to the court.

Notably, those have included US attorneys general, but now Microsoft has also joined in on the side of Epic Games. Microsoft's amicus filing included below, sets out what it describes as its own "unique -- and balanced -- perspective to the legal, economic, and technological issues this case implicates." As a firm which, like Apple, sells both hardware and software, Microsoft says it "has an interest" in supporting antitrust law.

Describing what it calls Apple's "extraordinary gatekeeper power," Microsoft joins Epic Games in criticizing alleged errors in the original trial judge's conclusions. "Online commerce and interpersonal connection funnels significantly, and sometimes predominantly, through iOS devices," says Microsoft. "Few companies, perhaps none since AT&T... at the height of its telephone monopoly, have controlled the pipe through which such an enormous range of economic activity flows." To support its claim that the Epic Games vs Apple ruling has "potential antitrust issues [that] stretch far beyond gaming," Microsoft describes what else it sees as this "enormous range of economic activity." "Beyond app distribution and in-app payment solutions - the adjacent markets directly at issue in this case," says Microsoft's filing, "Apple offers mobile payments, music, movies and television, advertising, games, health tracking, web browsing, messaging, video chat, news, cloud storage, e-books, smart-home devices, wearables, and more besides."

King and the mobile market.
Apple is a monopoly. If you don't believe me try to create a new Netflix or Spotify sub through their App Store app and see where that gets you.

Not a monopoly when Google and Microsoft exist.
Apple engages in alarming anti-competive practices. They leverage their platform at bully and abuse developers on it. Why should Apple get a 30% cut of an ongoing Netflix subscription just because the customer started it on the iPhone? Why should they get in the way of Spotify from selling audio books? Why should they block Microsoft from making Game Pass available on the app store because they have a competing game app service?

Any alleged competition Apple has simply just follows the example Apple sets. Whenever Apple does almost anything watch everyone else do the same thing. Any alleged competition Apple has is an illusion that has zero meaningful influence on Apple's business practices. At this point only government policy can do that.

Microsoft is a software as a service company in comparison. None of their hardware in any field gives them anywhere near the power Apple has. In the cloud Amazon AWS is serious competition in SAS Salesforce is. Microsoft actually has real competition.

:ohhh: A glimpse of the future. Google buys Sony, Nvidia supplies the chips and architecture. The Google PS6.

How do Sony Stans feel about that?
Terrible. They'll eventually take their meddling to far and destroy the company. They couldn't even get people to buy theirnshytty cloud system.
