Off topic but Annabelle was conjuring was better because there was no goofy doll to focus on. The atmosphere, suspense, and the semi anti Cristian vibe/ vibes carried that movie.

Watched Annabelle online. I would have walked out of the theatre on that trash, and I never leave early.
Made it 35 - 40 minutes in and quit.
The Conjuring was vastly superior and they definitely just tried to cash in on its' success with Annabelle.
