he felt like they wouldn't want to talk to a caucasians and would feel compelled to help out an African American

Watching a couple of episodes and the Black Jesus episode along with Keith and Thelma getting into it. As well as the Sex Talk with Penny.

Show had some legit contradictory angles. Throughout the series Willona is seen as a "maneater" dating this man getting with that man but when it's time to have that discussion she was finding fault.

I was born in '88. Fresh Prince, Martin, Cosby....I grew up on that. I never had the desire to watch Good Times

I figure people born in the 70s, early to mid 80s might feel more attached to that show.

Good Times, Sanford & Son, Jefferson's, What's Happening etc.... Are black sitcom rerun gold.
