It's just way too early for this... But you forgot trap god :mjpls:

Kendrick Lamar, Lupe Fiasco and Nas are probably the best rappers on the face of the earth. I think the poll is about comparing lyrical albums with lots of substance, so I think Gucci Mane would be out of place in this conversation.

That first day release hype. I'm not even mad.

Anyways

Food & Liquor II = 5/5

Life is Good = 5/5

Good Kid, mAAd City = 4/5

As of right now I feel H&C and Control System are both stronger albums this year from the TDE camp than GKMC.

Section 80 is better than GKMC.

:whoa:

To be fair, I know GKMC will grow on me more with additional listens and might grow to be a 4.5/5. I just really hate Backseat Freestyle. I really think it's the worst song he's ever made. Not big on bytch Don't Kill My Vibe either so far.

Also some of the production values of the album turn me off slightly. I think Art of Peer Pressure's intro beat should've been how it was for the entire song for example. Compton was OKAY, and the rest of the album is fukking perfection.

Bonus Tracks were also weak. I feel if you're gonna make nikka drop extra dollars for bonus songs you gotta come harder than that. Nas gave us some of the best songs on the fukking album with his bonus songs. Roses, Black Bond, Where's The Love, Nasty >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>that mary j blige song and the one where he bigs up Game and Aaron Afalo

Nah I wasn't seriously throwin gucci in there. I do think its too early to throw kendrick up there after only being out a few hours tho, same with gucci, just threw that in there because he dropped today too.

Life Is Good wins because the combination of:

Back When
Trust
Where's The Love
A Queen's Story
Stay
Daughters
Loco-Motive
Black Bond
Cherry Wine
You Wouldn't Understand
Bye Baby
World's An Addiction

All on one album :mindblown: is damn near impossible for ANY album this year to compete with, but GKMC is one of the best debuts in a Long time.
