Watching the Herd and listening to these nikkas put the blame only on Romo. I'm not going to save him since I know that he can and should do better, but people keep forgetting that the defense wan't shyt when he did do great.
looks like there is a chance for rain and thunderstorms.
if they postpone this game.

that's pretty much the national image of the cowboys a the reason why i dont watch/listen to that crap anymore. locally, people have gotten past that "blame romo" stage 2 years ago and have realized it's the team around him that's the problem.
Those national media folks that still try n put the blame on Romo last season just aren't watching the games . Romo only had 10 ints last season and 3 of those came in 2 quarters
They've just started to follow the popular thing to say. If Romo was out there getting hurdled by Fbs or or missing tackles then they would have a point.
@DCStarJEllis: Lance Dunbar is on the flight to NY... Looks likely to be called up from the practice squad. There... @DCStarJEllis:... | Facebook
@DCStarJEllis: With Ratliff officially out, expect Sean Lissemore to start at nose tackle for the Cowboys.
@DCStarJEllis: TE Colin Cochart is not traveling. Not sure a roster move is coming just yet, but he won't play on Wednesday.

Dallas Cowboys are 5-0 vs. New York Giants when they've played them in their season opener
A few thoughts...
1. I believe the Giants think they are a more physical team than us. With the weather forecast looking sloppy and Nicks not at 100% I believe they will utilize that downhill running attack. I want to see Bruce Carter shed blocks better than he has this preseason. Bradshaw and the rookie Wilson are not that big, but they run hard. Carter needs to maneuver better thru traffic like Lee does in order to keep the giants from having 2nd and 4 all day.
2. Doesn't it feel like Anthony Spencer is the forgotten man this preseason? A few months ago he was the topic of huge debate, but ever since his injury our attention has shifted to other matters. Well now it's time for him to show up, to be frank, we need you Spence. We only have 4 sacks vs. Eli in the last 240 pass attempts. I believe in Spence's natural abilities. Everyone always raves about his strength and run defense. When he came out of Purdue all of the other NFL-ready offensive linemen from the Big 10 were saying he was the most difficult opponent to face. With the improved secondary, I expect one of those "almost sacks" to be converted into a real sack, preferably on a big 3rd down.
3. I follow Felix Jones on twitter and think he is a good guy. With him being entrenched in the Dallas community, friends with a lot of players on the team, and being in close proximity to his hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, I thought I'd see a hungry motivated Felix come into this season ready for a re-up on a new contract from the Cowboys. I think he wants to stay here and I believe Jerry would have accommodated him if things did not go sourly this off season. Luckily he has 16 games to change whatever negative perception he has created for himself the last two months. I want to see an attentive decisive Felix Jones Wednesday night. That means running aggressively btw the tackles and on kickoff returns. That also means helping your quarterback out by continuing to block well and not dropping passes out of the backfield. The first game vs the Giants last season, Felix had over 100 yds and 6.6 ypc. The man has natural ability that can't be taught, I just want him to play smarter and with more fire in his belly. C'mon Felix!
4. It's not a matter of if but when our young studs Tyron Smith and Morris Claiborne struggle this game. The important thing I want to see is how they bounce back after a bad play. Tyron seems like a mentally tough kid, so if he whiffs on one or two plays, I don't expect it to snowball into a terrible game. Morris I believe will take some bumps and bruises Wednesday night. The injuries have setback his progression this offseason and he has looked tentative in his two preseason games. Don't think for a second Coughlin doesn't notice it on tape either and won't try to exploit it. The important thing for him is to not lose his confidence and aggressiveness. I hope Morris gets tested early in the game, possibly a double move/deep pass, and makes a good play in order to get the nerves out of his system.
5. Costa should be the invisible man. I don't want to say Phil Costa's name all day. Most likely he's doing a good job if that's the case.
A few other points for the coaches...
-Go hurry up! Romo seems to excel in hurry up situations. Keep the defenders on their heels. Running the clock down to zero to dissect coverages and blitzes is understandable but i believe some variation is needed. Throw some "spice" into the gameplan as Jerry likes to say.
-No pre-snap confusion should be tolerated by the coaches. The players have been thru a strict camp and have had time to learn the in's and out's of the offensive/defensive systems. If Romo has to burn a timeout b/c Ogletree didn't know where to lineup, pull him for a few plays. This is one negative aspect of the team that needs to be nipped in a bud for good this year.
-Overloading blitzes on one side of the defense hasn't really been effective against Eli. I'd like to see Ryan call more blitzes right up the middle but also show more discipline from the defender responsible for the running back slipping out of the backfield as Eli's safety valve.

No way you wrote this.
