I've got the blu Ray trilogy and the dvd trilogy. Haven't watched 3 either. Only on television.

I really would've like to have seen the probable war between Michael and Tom and it's a pity that Robert Duvall didn't come back due to salary demands. He chose to do Days of Thunder instead which is either awesome or depressing depending on your point of view.

Biggest problem with Pt III is that Pacino doing his usual loud extrovert acting didn't fit Michael's character. Michael was the stoic one of the family, always and that was the strength of Pacino's performance in the first two. In Pt III they let Pacino do Pacino and even with the time gap and change of outlook on life it is not justifiable.

As a stand alone it's a decent movie. Compared to the first two, yeah it sucks I always thought there was a little too much going on. I liked Michael looking back on his life with regret but Pacino wasn't playing Michael he was playing Pacino. I thought Andy Garcia was really good and the bright spot of the movie. I really didn't care for the cousin loving story and the entire helicopter scene was giving retarded

The only Directors cut I'd be interested in would be to cut Sofia Coppola and the entire Vatican storyline out of the film. Also replace George Hamilton with CGI Robert Duvall.
