Both shows are going to need heavy budgets.

Amazon isn’t afraid to spend money. It’s netflix im worried about

Really jut kind of wish Horizon was an Anime mini-series like Edgerunners. Voltron people would have killed it

Cant have the ‘reboot’ without the trilogy. Its all one big story
That’s how I feel. I love god of war and ragnorok, but still appreciate what got us here.

Really don’t understand the need to completely shyt on either to praise the other but I guess that’s just how this shyt goes

No desire to watch this if they're not adapting the Greek saga. :unimpressed: They're pretty much telegraphing that their motivation is purely to cash out on the popularity rather than tell the story fully.

We want angry Kratos. ZOOOOOOOOOOS

The “God of War” TV series adaptation at Amazon is starting from scratch.

Variety has confirmed that series showrunner and executive producer Rafe Judkins and executive producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus have departed the project. They had reportedly completed multiple scripts for the series but Amazon and fellow studio Sony Pictures Television decided to go in a different creative direction.

Santa Monica Studio’s studio creative director Cory Barlog remains onboard as an executive producer, as do Playstation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan, Santa Monica Studio’s Yumi Yang and Vertigo’s Roy Lee

I'm only watching if its the norse saga. Don't care the early stuff he did before the games started getting critical acclaim.

What? The original trilogy got critical acclaim, specially the first 2.
I don't remember Critics praising the sex mini games and other childish bs that they did cmon breh :comeon:

The OG trilogy is dated af both tone and maturity. Better to just go off the more popular norse saga. They can do a prequel series later if the it becomes successful.

'God Of War': Ronald D. Moore Boards Amazon Series As New Showrunner

With Ronald D. Moore back in the Sony Pictures TV Studios fold, the prolific creator/showrunner is taking on a high-profile IP for the studio

Ronald D. Moore has been tapped as writer, executive producer and showrunner of Sony TV and Amazon MGM Studios' Prime Video series 'God Of War,' based on PlayStation's hugely popular ancient mythology-themed video game

Moore's involvement with 'God Of War' follows the recent exit of the project's original creative team, showrunner/EP Rafe Judkins and EPs Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus, who had been with the show since its inception two and a half years ago

As Deadline reported, they had completed multiple scripts prior to the changeover, which marks a shift in the creative direction of the series adaptation.

'God Of War' is the first major new project for Moore since he returned to Sony TV in June with a new multi-year overall deal.
