Cox will let you slide the first month you go over, but after that they charge $10 per 50gb over like the rest of these greedy fukks.
I go over every month and I have never been charged extra :manny:

But that's just VA, they probably enforce it in other states

I have the 1.2tb cap and I downloaded a bunch of games for the ps5 this month and always use streaming services. This month was big for me for downloading games and I'm only at 600gb and its about to refresh to 0

As someone who worked with Comcast for over 5 years. They are right. More then 70% of Comcast customers don't come ANYWHERE near that threshold. And again this is a MONTHLY cap. It refresh every month. There's not enough games that even release in a month for you to go over 1.2TERRABYTES of data. Let alone you actually buying enough games to download that amount of data.

But don't get it twisted. It's fukk comcast all day every day as a current Fios customer :blessed:

Selfish breh, you totally ignoring the JBO brehs and their 4K torrents.

exactly.

...and the restriction isn’t relatively bad at all coming from someone who’s literally downloaded hundreds of games and was all-digital across 3 systems last gen

Ehh. If you're going off disc, the only thing you're downloading is the latest patch. So, unless we're talking a COD sized patch, you're looking at maybe 8GB, vs 40-90.

They losing cable subs from people cutting the cord. Of course they gonna get their money back on charging more for internet. :skip:

And, THIS is the actual truth.

I'm one of those people ISPs are aiming at. I don't have cable (do Hulu Plus Live TV), and I've been working from home, where I have to connect to a VPN to work. There are months where we're right up against the cap. And that's with me not playing a ton of multiplayer games right now.

What makes it worse is that most of these ISPs are about to double dip off their cable customers. More and more providers are offering set top boxes that advertise that you can watch Netflix, Hulu, etc, but it's just those apps preinstalled, so the user still has to use data. They legit might fukk around and manufacture overages for some users. :dead:

Over a terabyte is generous.

ATT hit me up with a warning when I downloaded 500gb worth of shyt when I got the ps4 pro. Said they'd cap me the next time I went over 500gb.

And this is what is truly all about... Lets stop the bullshyt..

It ain't about video games.. It's about these streaming services for $10 a month, kicking their fukking $250 a month cable company's asses... And instead of just lowering cable prices, they jack up the internet prices...

Now what do we think is going to happen in the future? TV quality is going to get worse? Of course not. It'll be 4k, then 8k, then something 16 times better than both. Then it'd be 100 gb games to 300gb like COD to 1 tb by the time gta 6 rolls around... And remember hard drive space is limited.. So if you hit max space and constantly need to delete and redownload games... shyt... do that twice with call of duty and you might hit your cap by week 2 and you didn't even get to disney plus and spotify and that torrent for photoshop

The PS3 and Vita Are Being Buried Alive
This is the real problem with going all digital.

PSP games are no longer purchasable on a PSP you have to have a PS3 of Vita to even buy them. PS3 and Vita purchases require you have those consoles still hooked up to access their stores. You can't buy those games on a PC anymore.

Eventually in the not too distant future they will cut off access to PS3 and Vita games entirely. Like the PSP before them those systems will no longer be able to access PSN.

I always buy the games I really love physically. If I really like a game I bought digitally when it goes into the bargain bin I snag a physical copy. Hell I still have my physical copies of Lunar Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2 on PlayStation. Still have a PS2 and PS3 to play them on.

I don't have a PS1 anymore but I have the 2, 3, and 4. I plan to keep them all.

It's not as high as you think if you stream live TV in high quality and download games.

I'm at 1TB right now but the months almost over, I've had the cap for a minute. It used to be 1TB but they raised it to 1.2 after covid
