The Chinese are engineering battery swap stations for their EVs. I figured this would’ve been a great direction to take for the big 3 automakers if they would’ve invested in the infrastructure. Just think, a new battery pack amd full range in the time it takes to pump gas.
Nio has now done two million electric car battery swaps

As an Off-Road and Overlanding enthusiast, this truck is shytting on anything else on the American made market.
:whoo:

The new Ford Bronco is nice and significantly more affordable, and the Toyota Land Cruiser is an iconic Japanese machine, but this Hummer is an American masterpiece.

Nice that the market is growing but most of these trucks have 200 mile capacity and charging location issues. The cyber truck is ugly but still the best option if in black. The rest of these companies are catching up though
And the original Hummer was what, 250 mile range?

Legit how often do you drive a big truck more than 200 miles in a day? You could drive 60 miles there and back to your worksite, do 50 miles of errands while you're there, another 20 miles of errands at home, and still have shyt left over when you park it in the garage to charge overnight.

I've only driven 200+ miles a day a few times and never would have done it in a big-ass truck. But even if you do have to drive 500 miles in a day, just stop once at a charging station and go get your lunch, then take a coffee/smoke break in the afternoon. The GM car takes 20 minutes to charge 200 miles so it would barely be more trouble than stopping for gas. Yeah charging stations aren't as common as gas stations yet but if you're on a long-ass road trip then just give yourself a 40-mile window to fill up and you'll find a station unless you're in the middle of nowhere.

Its dangerous thinking to assume that just because someone successfully started a wave that competitors cannot ape them.

Yahoo used to run that Internet search shyt; now nobody bothers with them except old heads with 20 year old email addresses and nikkas playing fantasy football leagues.

Same for Motorola and cellular phones and all kinds of stuff....

Ill just say this... I dont see Tesla holding a damn near monopoly on Electric vehicles in the future. I think its foolish to expect they will. Tesla holds 80% of the electric vehicle Marketshare in the U.S. right now...

Does anyone want to say with a straight face that that percentage is going to INCREASE in the future with more competition? They are basically the only game in town for electric vehicles....

"The 2022 GMC Hummer EV starts at $112,595 for the Edition 1 model. The fully loaded Edition 1 will be the only version available at first, with lesser models coming for the 2023 model year."
Can only buy the fully loaded ed. 1 for the first year, probably gonna be 135-140k :francis:

and that's where Tesla will own the market. They have a 25k car coming before then.
