GMC just bushed Elon and his Tesla truck with the new electric Hummer.

Trucks been status symbols since like 2008. Long gone are the days of just country boys having trucks. City folks buying them shyts and getting em lifted. Even black folks doing it too and putting on big ass rims. shyt in the ATL movie Big Boi had on 28s and that was back in 2006

Besides, if you own a house having a truck can definitely pay off when it comes to renovations

Dudes ride tires not big wheels anymore

Its dangerous thinking to assume that just because someone successfully started a wave that competitors cannot ape them.

Yahoo used to run that Internet search shyt; now nobody bothers with them except old heads with 20 year old email addresses and nikkas playing fantasy football leagues.

Same for Motorola and cellular phones and all kinds of stuff....

Ill just say this... I dont see Tesla holding a damn near monopoly on Electric vehicles in the future. I think its foolish to expect they will. Tesla holds 80% of the electric vehicle Marketshare in the U.S. right now...

Does anyone want to say with a straight face that that percentage is going to INCREASE in the future with more competition? They are basically the only game in town for electric vehicles....
The charging stations give them the edge right now, they have to make their cars more eye candy, especially the truck.

Problem right now is range on all these vehicles. If they "say" 200 mi, assume real world that'll be 60% of that. The best use for electric vehicles are low mileage fleet vehicles or a family's second commuter car (daddy drives the EV, momma can take the gas minivan).

I watched a couple videos on real world performance, Tesla has the best network but even with that getting recharged is a chore. These cars need either better range or something like an onboard electric generator you can use to burn gas to recharge (probably less complexity than dual engines).

Yeah EVs handle 90% of your driving well enough, but cars are expensive and that other 10% is a show stopper.

Of course, but I'm talking the legacy American brands that have weak R&D and been putting out the same wack ass vehicles for years. Ford, Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Ram, Dodge, Jeep, Lincoln, and Chrysler. They had all the money and infrastructure and still let a new upstart company take the lead in the electric vehicle market. Them old dinosaur companies are gonna do the same trash jobs they've been doing all these years, just with electric engines :manny:

Trust they didn’t let Tesla get the jump on them they tried they best to get Tesla bushed .. What Elon did that was smart was when he was building up Tesla and the model S he was also building up the charging infrastructure.. What Elon has in regards to the EV that other automakers no matter what they do will be well behind is Elon has now billions of miles of data.. That’s data all the established car makers would do anything to get lol
I mean, yeah you can count on the American legacy manufacturers to fuk up with their products but the only advantage they’ll have over Tesla is variety of product. Tesla doesn’t have a pure off-road vehicle nor a more “rugged-look” suv that everyone craves now (not yet at least), but that’ll be easy for Elon. However with Jeep already doing a Hybrid Wrangler and eventually electric Wrangler, Ford doing an electric Bronco/Lightning/Mustang, GM working in whatever, there’s going to be a choice for everyone’s taste.
But @BigMoneyGrip was right on the big 3 trying to stop Tesla...think the Tucker automobile. They don’t like small upstarts innovating like that and shaking up the system. The dealers were really going for his neck with that direct to customers sales shyt...

The Chinese are engineering battery swap stations for their EVs. I figured this would’ve been a great direction to take for the big 3 automakers if they would’ve invested in the infrastructure. Just think, a new battery pack amd full range in the time it takes to pump gas.
Nio has now done two million electric car battery swaps
