I see the suggestion to go for “sole custody” to men on the Coli a lot. Be clear...the law favors the woman in establishing who gets custody of children, especially small children. Sole custody is out of question for the man unless you prove the mother is unfit. She’s a crackhead, child abuser, something like that. No cheating on you does not count. A situation where it would be in the best interests of the child to stay with the father may be that he lives in the area of a really good school or something like that but it will not be sole custody. That may give him primary physical custody.

As a man that spent 6 years in and out of court over custody, property, debts and child support, let me say that no p*ssy is wet enough and no head is fire enough to deal with the stress of divorce that will eventually follow marriage.

I got lucky. I got a good custody arrangement and manageable cs, after years in and out of court. In the beginning I was breaking her off with $2K/month in cs, spousal support and benefits. My 401K, gone. My taxes the year I filed for divorce, ($7K return) taken by cs because she claimed abandonment, when I was there the entire time. Yep they hit me with arrears while I was in the same city trying to dispute custody through the courts.

#GMB is undefeated. I saw my Pops lose his house and businesses the same way.

No. Long story short I was a graphic designer/artist when we met. I hung around other artists. She got used to being around me and my friends. Going to parties, shows, etc. I started managing a group. She got pregnant. I didn’t change my lifestyle (admittedly, I was on some bs) and that led to our issues. 2 kids later, after my 9-5 graphic design gig, I’d spend a lot of time on my group or my art.

Hell, there have been stories of dudes who become rich post divorce and the ex-wife retroactively gets added payments to child support/alimony.

A good percentage of the loses are because men are just awful negotiators. They really believe that women are really shy, meek creatures. But men tend to show their bytch side after their nutt. How you react after you bust in em is dictates how they’re going to treat you.

I “overpaid” my exwife. Gave her cash and 2 rental properties. I was able to get another 2 properties within a year after the divorce. You can’t put a price on a peace of mind.
