Uhhhhh have you heard of common law marriage breh? They can still finesse bread if you live with her too long :francis:

"There is a common misperception that if you live together for a certain length of time (seven years is what many people believe), you are common-law married. This is not true anywhere in the United States."

Common Law marriage only applies to a few specific states where it is recognized:
  • Alabama
  • Colorado
  • District of Columbia
  • Georgia (if created before 1/1/97)
  • Idaho (if created before 1/1/96)
  • Iowa
  • Kansas
  • Montana
  • New Hampshire (for inheritance purposes only)
  • Ohio (if created before 10/10/91)
  • Oklahoma (possibly only if created before 11/1/98. Oklahoma’s laws and court decisions may be in conflict about whether common law marriages formed in that state after 11/1/98 will be recognized.)
  • Pennsylvania (if created before 1/1/05)
  • Rhode Island
  • South Carolina
  • Texas
  • Utah

Should of had a lawyer.
:yeshrug:

Doesn't always matter. In family court you are not entitled to a fair trial. Its the only court system in the U.S. without that requirement. That's why you cant get counsel provided for you if you cant afford it yourself. The judge can run wild on your ass, Lawyer or not in family court. The only real difference is some Judges respect you more if you have an attorney, where as others will be harsher on you for not having one, just out of spite.

In that case I can see your point, but its still fukked up. Whole thing is a racket. They claim its about taking care of the kid, then throw the man in jail so he cant earn? How can he pay and take care of the kid if you lock him up? That's how you can tell its not about taking care of the child, its about punishment.

Its fukking crazy. Imagine losing everything to a hoe you never married or ANYTHING. bytch be like "I have a toothbrush in the bathroom at his house so I want HALF!"
