I thought Denzil not doing the accent thing would break immersion, but honestly, it kind of works to carry the film, which is weird. I wasn’t expecting that, but all in all meh movie.

It had its ups and downs but It was cool. Didn’t like Denzel at first until he started cooking. He’s not meant to play some gender fluid weird gay guy. I think it’s worth the ticket in theaters because most movies aren’t anymore.

Was hoping y’all was judging it too harshly, but naw I couldn’t even finish it. I could tell it was just a one man show from Denzel doing his thing and of course I could tell my boy Pedro gonna always act his ass off. But the main character was so unlikable It just bored the fukk outta me. I didn’t find any of the other characters interesting. Maybe I need to try again. I cut it off 50 minutes into it .

Felt like more of a tribute to the first movie than it's own good movie. The 1st one was just too epic. Maybe it was too hard for them to really flesh out the characters. You only get a surface level knowledge of them. Just felt like the movie was just checking off a list.
And Denzel was just Alonzo from training day. Thought he was gonna yell at the armies they'll be playing ball in pelican Bay after he's done with them.

Speaking of the Count of Monte Cristo. Everyone should download the French version that came out this year. It’s three hours and a banger. Or better see it in theaters apparently it’s out there this weekend in some places.
