I think Lebron can get the MVP as the #2 seed as long as we finish with a better record than Philly.
Embiid is the favorite right now, but if LA gets the 2 seed with AD missing 24-28 gms Lebron is going to have a couple of narratives in his favor
* Got the # 2 seed with AD missing 1/3rd of the season.
* Better record than Philly despite playing in the tougher conference.
* Played 70-72 gms (72 gm season) at 36 yrs old coming off the shortest offseason in league history, while Embiid missed 10-12 gms.
Philly could also finish with the 3rd seed in the East. That wouldn't be a good look for Embiid.

Pretty sure I heard the other night they've had the most difficult schedule in the league up to this point and the easiest for the remainder of the season.We will be 3.5 games behind them after tonight, we should win our next two. I dont expect Jazz to be this hot all year. Jazz have had somewhat of an easy schedule so far. I think we have a good shot but maybe Utah stays this hot all year
They had the best or second best record in the league with Gasol's production before AD and Schroder got hurt. Gasol doesn't need to do much for this team to be successful.
Getting a little more production out of Gasol would make life easier for Lebron/AD...The same goes for KCP....You can't give players a pass when they're playing mediocre just because we're winning...You can't win championships without contributions from the role players.

It's a 2 man race right now between Embiid and Bron. As long as we have a better record than Philly and Bron stays doing what he's doing, I'll think he'll get it. I don't think first place is in reach but it's a lock if we can get it.

Bamba is intriguing foreal. Can protect the rim and has a nice lil jumpshot. Not only that...nikka is super young with mad potential. If he finds the right org that can coach him up he could be an allstar someday. On the other hand Whiteside a bum

Yeah I think Bamba would flourish under Vogel and learning from Gasol.
I would give up Matthews and THT in a second for him.
But "best record in the league" isn't the goal. Winning 4 playoff series is the goal. And I'm not certain that Gasol alone at the 5 is the right way to make that happen because it's too easy to create matchup problems against him. If you're the Lakers I really think you need at least one big athletic 5 who can both protect the rim with some mobility and defend other 5's effectively when AD isn't doing it, cause it's just not a good idea to have AD be the only mobile big on the squad who can play defense.
I disagree but we'll find out in a few months.

Correct having a Rim protector next to AD makes the defense ten times better. You definitely need that against the Nets or even the Clippers. I would have THT,Morris, and Matthews on the trading block in exchange for a Center.

ThT looked terrible as a ball handler you could easily replace what he brings with Caruso or some other guy. The only positive I’ve seen with THT is his ability to finish at the rim. I would easily trade him for Bamba.
