Rory and Lorelai Return!
It's been nine long years since Lorelai and Rory Gilmore left our screens, but let's be honest, they never left our hearts.

Thanks to avid fan campaigning (and Netflix!), Gilmore Girls is back in business – and EW scored an invitation to Stars Hollow for this exclusive first look.

Coffee, Anyone?
Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel were photographed exclusively for EW by Chris Craymer on March 13, 2016, in Los Angeles.

“You know how you finish college and you’re a few years older and you’re like, ‘I wish I could go do this now ‘cause I would appreciate it so much more and understand it and get more out of it’? That’s the opportunity I have this with and I appreciate every day that I’m here,” Graham said of the experience.

Though we wouldn’t dare spoil top-secret plot points, we did get intel on Rory and her career...

Never watched the show but they've got to have been the most close knit crew on set to all be returning despite (the ones that are busy obviously). Wish Netflix would do a Melrose place revival :mjcry:

Ps Alexis bledel is such a waste of skin

Gilmore Girls fans will have a lot to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.

As announced Wednesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Netflix’s four-part revival of the beloved WB/CW dramedy — titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life — will be released on Friday, Nov. 25 at 12:01 am PT. And yes, all four 90-minute chapters/mini-movies will be dropped at once, despite series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino’s dream of a staggered release.

And now for the even bigger news: Netflix also unveiled the first footage from the revival, and it confirms (as if there was any doubt!) that the new episodes will be drenched with current pop culture references. The 90-second clip opens with a tour of Stars Hollow before landing in Lorelai and Rory’s kitchen, where the mother and daughter bicker over the friendship potential of one Amy Schumer. (Follow my live blog of the Gilmore Girls TCA panel here for more fresh intel.)

A fourth quarter release had been buzzed about ever since April, when Netflix announced that the continuation would launch sometime “later this year.” Principal photography wrapped in May and Sherman-Palladino and exec producer Daniel Palladino — who wrote and directed all four 90-minute chapters — are in deep into post-production.

“We didn’t really want to do a reboot of the series,” Sherman-Palladino previously told TVLine. “We thought if we were going to do something, we wanted to do something a little special. I love Sherlock. And I love their format, because their [episodes are more] than just an episode. They’re upwards of 90 minutes long sometimes. So we thought, “Why don’t we do something like that?” Originally we were going to pitch three [episodes]. And then we thought… four seasons, because seasons were so big with the show. It was snow and fall and spring and festivals… it defined [Stars Hollow] a lot. And we thought that’d be a lovely way to catch up with all three of our Gilmore Girls over the course of a year.”

Here's your first look at Lorelai and Rory in 2016. Seasons change, but some things never will. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, a four-part event, premieres November 25. Only on Netflix. Welcome back to Stars Hollow!

Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life includes four 90-minute chapters, each spanning one of the four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, who executive produces, writes and directs the four 90-minute chapters with Daniel Palladino. The project is from Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Alexis Bledel was bad in Mad Men when Pete was greasing her before her brain got fried with shock therapy.

Netflix put out this featurette a couple weeks ago:

A behind-the-scenes moment with the cast as they look back on the first seven seasons of Gilmore Girls and why they are excited to be back on set for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Coming to Netflix on November 25th.
