I can understand that but it’s like me having a deeper connection to America than to my parents home country even though America has a trash track record when it comes to Black people. I can totally understand him needing to tap in more but his experience for the most part is rooted in his Greek experience.

This is like when KD didn't feel fulfilled after ringing with GSW and people were saying they didn't count. He was insecure about that and Giannis is insecure about this. Emphasizing the 'hard worker' part now because he doesn't feel confident he'll ever dominate through skills a la Kobe the way Harden has to do.
I kinda feel bad for Giannis. I think if he could, he would take back those comments on Beard's defense. He was just poking the bear(d) and didn't expect him to go nuclear on him by saying people don't really take him serious as a hooper. The more Giannis keep talking shyt, the more obvious it becomes he wants Beard's approval because he knows Harden is one of the most respected players in the league in terms of skills and is considered a pure hooper.

Well, for starters they actually faced the 73-9 Warriors and not an injured Nets and two teams in the Hawks and the Suns that didn't even make the playoffs last season. You think the 2018 Rockets or 2016 Thunder would have trouble beating those squads?
