Honestly, I don't even think he was throwing shots at KD and Harden like that :ld:

I think he was more so using of examples of players who went to big market cities and the hype and expectations that come along with it. All eyes were on that Brooklyn team to be the face of the league the moment that KD and Kyrie decided to go and only got magnified the moment they added Harden.

You aren't going to those big cities just to win championships and you're lying if you said otherwise.......

I hate statements like that because we knew KD was coming to the Nets after not being able to play because of the injury (how could a non playing KD shift the culture) delayed how it could’ve been then Covid happened this season that just finished they weren’t fans in the beginning like the Bucks are blessed that their best two guys had been there for years so in hindsight it’s obvious to see the edges they had over other teams because when the new shyt broke down their continuity helped them but even then they barely won against the Nets who because of KD being so great at last showing the fans and people around it can be bold in confidence to pack it out and rally around the team.

That literally doesn't change or have anything to do anything about what I said in why KD went to Brooklyn :dwillhuh:

If you literally think they (KD, Kyrie and Harden) went there just to win championships, then you're naive and a liar. Them cats going there was literally going to create hype and expectations for those guys and the team being the face of the league and it'd be disingenuous to insist otherwise.

Does kd even wanna be the face of the nba like that? He don’t really fukk with the media or play the good guy role
:patrice:

Also it’s possible to win, enjoy the game, be a family man, hard worker, and be the face of the nba

I mean honestly is there currently any NBA start that really wants that?

Lebron, Shaq, Kobe, MJ those guys are rare.

Giannis aint about it, KD damn sure aint about it, Harden... Nope, Kawhi Nope, Kyrie nope. Jokic maybe, Dame maybe, Steph is like 33, Embid maybe the best bet to carry the torch if he can get a title after Lebron moves on.

Giannis whole style to "outsider."

Him straight up saying he doesn't train with players, wanting to hang with his brothers, not fukking super teams (in the most super team happy era ever), and this.

People aren't making shyt up. This ain't like Kawhi where people thought he wasn't a diva because he was quiet.

What people aren't making shyt up?

What I get from Giannis is that he doesn't want nor care to be looked at as a star among the likes of Jordan, Kobe, Bron, etc. I mean that's cool and all but...

When he rejected to work out with Bron, KD, and others a few summers ago that said everything I needed to know about him :mjpls: I still think he's a great player top 5 in the league but it's time he comes to understand and accept that he's viewed as a star in this league and to stop being cocky deferring away from it.

Milwaukee ain't winning another chip bruh...y'all were just lucky this year. Brooklyn had y'all number if not for Kyrie going down mid-series.

yea it means he ain't buddy buddy unless its his teammates or brothers
