Ghost is my dude, but LL just has way too many classic joints. The cat's got like 30 years of music.
He's arguably a Top 10-15 MC of all-time.
I agree.

^^needs to be slapped.Hmmmm...nice question. LL is a GOAT but I'd say Ghost because I believe Ghost has the edge because of solo album quality, consistency and the role he played as a member of an iconic rap act.
you're doing the math incorrectly. you have to realize albums started to speed up during ghost's era. back in LL's day. you would drop an album every 18 months or so. that was for all music. not just hiphop.despite the longevity, he doesn't really have more work than Ghost though. 13 albums for LL to Ghosts' 10....but ghost has an additional 4 collabo albums, plus was a member of Wu's 5 albums, plus a co-feature on 2 Rae albums

ghost is a part of a goat group. TRUE.
LL was one of the forefathers of def jam. without LL there woud've been NO ultra rich rappers. Without LL their would've been no transition of Rap meshing with R&B. Without LL the ladies would've never bought all those hiphop albums. LL taught dudes how to make complete albums for everyone. while also still battling other rappers and keep it hiphop.
The problem is, some of us only remember LL's stuff when he went way to the left with the chick music. but dont realized Mr. Smith was a hands down classic. and no other rapper that has tried has ever done a chick rap album that well. that dudes would still ride to.
last but not least LL is a goat performer. Today he could still rock a show doing a new song you dont even like. thats how good he was as a performer.
