I remember right after I heard about the incident Mase was on Ricki Lake and was walking with a cane.

And Ghost did mention punching Mase on Supreme Clientele

"Two rappers got stuck that night, I ain't saying no names, They know who - thank you for the chains.... :hubie:"

Was there ever really a ghostface and Mase beef back in the day or was this just an urban legend. I remember seeing rza and Mase together on an mtv show back in the day and it seemed like it was all love.
I remember that show. Icham wu affiliate punched Mase in the face. ODB went on stage after they lost to Puff at the Grammys and said Wu is for the children. At a Mase show someone had a Wu poster or flag Mase got it and burned it. It got back to the Wu. The incident happened at a night club. Mase got his jaw broke. You gotta remember in the late 90s there wasn’t phones with cameras etc. Everything was basically on sight.

I don't doubt it - I remember a XXL interview where Cam talked about being at Sony/Epic when Ghost came through the building, around the time Dame was trying to get them out of their deal

Supreme Clientele is one of the most influential rap albums of the 21st Century, don't @ me. :yeshrug:

Not counting Cam, or the fact that The Blueprint was made up of beats Kanye and Just imagined Ghost on, there's literally rappers who might have got their entire wave from a style he used on one verse. That's before we even talk about how there's a whole sub genre based off a vibe he helped pioneer.

Don't think you will get much argument on this take...one of the greatest albums of all time and nobody really speaks on Ghost basically being on 2 of the most influential albums of all time(OB4CL and Supreme Clientele).

That's why I can't listen to Action Bronson....shyt come off as forced second rate garbage.

GFK is a big ass dude. Made Cam look mad small. Dude must of been a real terror back in the day.

The same way Cam geeks about Ghost is the same way Ghost and Rae use to geek about Nas.
Cam shifted from rapping like Kool G to doing stream of consciousness non-sequitir wordplay on SDE and perfected it on Come Home With Me...basically a slowed down version of GFK's Supreme Clientele style
Best versions of Cam. Been downhill ever since.

I like Cam but shyt ain't nothing like Ghost for me to even relate the 2.

But I guess.

its just technical rap shyt.....the way the rhymes are constructed....unless you rap or write I wouldn't expect you 2 really get it tbh :manny:

a lot of people think SC and those killa cam tracks dont make sense when if u got the ear and speak the lingo for the most part it does

it has nothing 2 do with the sound or the content....it is the "style" of rap smell me
