I'm not even so mad at the complaining, it was the instant vitriol and sexists comments like "women ain't funny", "fukk this faq best known for directing women's movies", "we better see some ass n titties" etc.

When Hollywood does reboots, nikkas complain.

When Hollywood changes the race/sex of characters, people complain.

To me, there's nothing wrong with them wanting to do this.

People complain when women do female-centric movies like Bridesmaids (which I thought was pretty good)

How about putting them in a completely unique context of women as ghost fighters?

Knowing damn well if there was a press release announcing Seth Rogen in the reboot of Ghostbusters, nikkas would complain that he's in every movie.

Bottom line is, motherfukkers don't know what they want, so I commend them for doing what the fukk they want to do.

An all female cast in an action-comedy really doesn't seem marketable. Especially when the original cast was all male.
