People really put a lot of stock into these reviews don't they :picard:?

games are too expensive for me to waste my money on something that is not bad but i dont necessarily want to finish. Time is limited ,so is disk space, to waste on trash:yeshrug:

ACG reviews have been pretty much spot on so as soon as he said just buy i was sold:lolbron:

since i got a gift card ,paypal balance from over a year ago am buying this plus either TLOU 2 or FF7

You know how many games you probably enjoyed growing up that were rated 5’s and shyt? People are just obsessed with numbers now, not even just for games, for movies, music, sports etc. Look at how music artist flip out about not going number 1 or selling x amount of albums 1st week.

Or if a marvel movie comes out that isn’t a 90+ of RT is trash. Like everyone didn’t love last action hero growing up

I had Superman 64 and played it more than a few times :mjlol: and a bunch more but that was just making *do with what I had. But I will say I started checking that kinda stuff once I had to buy my own games and got burned too much. Basically *end of 64/beginning of PS2 era.

I’ve never even entertained movie and music reviews even as a kid :mjlol: I get their place but there is just way too much subjectivity in those fields for me to care much about the next man’s opinion on it, unless it’s for convo purpose with my ppl. I check out movie scores just for curiosity, but don’t put stock into them. I also listen to too much music now that barely gets reviewed as is.

At least games have to be directly interacted with on more-or-less the same level to have a good baseline for scoring, and usually have much more of a required investment, so I understand the system, but it’s skewed way too far imo. And at multiple points it was corrupt af.

Reviews themselves for sure because they tell you what you can expect outside of the biased marketing from the dev and pub. The score is what I don’t put much stock in. I’d rather just do *recommended/not recommended, and give in depth reasons why (without spoilers)

Don’t give af about reviews. I look at the potential unique experiences a game can offer before I decide if it’s worth my time.

Tsushima is the only AAA open-world samurai “simulator” so it’s automatically worth copping if you’ve always dreamed of a game like this.

Clearly the game isn't bad.

But it looks like depending on your expectations and what you like you'll either love it or find it boring.

Also most reviews seem to put it out there that the game starts off slow and then opens up.

Personally I can't wait :banderas:

My expectation was an 8, and it got a 9. Classic :blessed:
