Lethal is easier than Hard. Lethal is like a glass cannon. You die easier, however your enemies and bosses have less HP so die quicker too. So once you've mastered parrying, blocking and evasion the game becomes very easy.Put in about 12 hours into it since picking it up on sale, the first 3 hours of the game didn't really click but everything after... the swordplay is addicting, I powered through hella side-quests and now I got 3/4 stances unlocked and a lot of techniques. I'm playing on hard, beginning to feel slightly overpowered but I haven't done many of the story quests yet so I'm sure the next area will up the difficulty again. How Demons Souls-esque is the top difficulty? I walked down to some shoreline area where I got spammed by arrows & mobbed by 15+ enemies mobs in this game are no joke crowd control w/ the ghost weapons is a must, lowkey mobs that size would seem damn near impossible on a higher difficulty.
The mob areas you're talking about are actually story progession point. even on easy difficulty it's automatic death. You can't past until you've reached that point in the story.Put in about 12 hours into it since picking it up on sale, the first 3 hours of the game didn't really click but everything after... the swordplay is addicting, I powered through hella side-quests and now I got 3/4 stances unlocked and a lot of techniques. The quest design sucks and you get way too op by mid game.fukked with it, but I think it's a little overrated. Didn't plan on buying upgrade, but not sure now.

I hope by the sequel some of the world design and tedium gets ironed out. Same problem I had with HZD, still far outclasses any ubi game I’ve ever played
I’m always willing to give a new IP that tries new things a bit of leeway
