Jin looking like the Boogeyman out here. The progression is well done. Im playing on Hard and so I can only speak for myself, but the combat had a steep learning curve. Feels good to have enough drip at this point that enemies are straight up waving white flags after you catch four consecutive bodies. I thought they'd only flee on occassion after Heavenly Strike, but one breh left his homie after a perfect parry. Hit him in the back with kunai though. A coward dies a thousand deaths and you made your decision. You can't outrun this fade, breh.

No. It’s a tier below TLOU2 and there’s really no comparison in my opinion. Game is fun once you adjust to it ( I just came from tlou2 as well )

I am going to need some kind of rehab after that game, the game was just so fukking good I know for the longest I won’t be able to stop comparing other games to it. Especially the NPC AI, I will probably get this game but will do so in a few days as it would be unfair to this if I got it now.

I said it earlier in this thread, but I feel like with a bit more polish, and sandbox gameplay systems, this could be Sony’s answer to BoTW

sometimes I climb up areas and I want to paraglide down like Link in BoTW.

For the sequel, they should just forget chasing photorealism, the game is beautiful as is, just go crazy with fun open gameplay systems. gimme that ninja hattori paraglider+joint to walk on water pack for fun traversal:

more mythic tales, mythic techniques, and armor. shyt, add a couple of mythic katanas in there (i'm pretty early, and I get that Jin's sword is a family heirloom, but it can't really be a samurai story if you're not chasing a legendary blacksmith to forge you a sword that'll cut god himself. this is one of the coolet samurai cliches )


also, add more mini-games on top of the bamboo cutting like fishing etc. The combat is already > BoTW, and they also have a leg up with storytelling, voice acting etc. They should just go crazy with the gameplay systems.

anyway, the game is piff, and the potential is scary

I was ready to get my ghost on as soon as khan hit adachi with the oil and set his ass on fire in the opening scene.

then I was riding through one of those white flower fields and randomly saw a body almost completely naked, tied down in a fishing net with a sword in the chest and a fukking salmon near their head.

shyt threw me all the way the fukk off guard. like..

spent the next five minutes riding through the field picking up poison and hallucination flowers.

I haven’t been in this thread much, and I’m not massively far in still story wise, Iv just been exploring the first area, but this game is a fukking blast, can only imagine how fun this gets fully geared out with the best abilities/items

I got the impression from the reviews these sidequests were trash too, Iv had no issues with them, but then maybe id feel different if the combat wasn’t so good..either way, great game
