For the first time in a long while, the side missions actually have a point and are directly connected to the main narrative. Not only are they interesting/challenging in and of themselves, the rewards also more than make them worth the time. SP put some thought into this, and a lot of other franchises should take note.

Me: let’s finally do a mission:ehh:
Fox/Yellow Bird: lets go the other way:russ:
Mongol Camp: We’ll be waiting for you playa..
When you done with that:dead:

I can't say whether or not it was intentional, but it's just like life. You're all geared up to go hit a certain goal and then...a bird goes by and your whole plan is wrecked. :jbhmm:

Yeah, true indeed. I just finished the side missions that lead to getting
The Heavenly Strike. The multiple parts of it were all pretty cool and the boss fight was very cinematically done and was dope and challenging fight with a great climax and payoff for doing the mission. The move itself can be used to cancel out out of pretty much all your other attacks, regardless of stance.
And to think that it's just an optional one at that. This game had exceeded my expectations very early. I'm still in act 1.

I have to admit I was really excited for this game the only part I was skeptical about was when they announce you only have one weapon, Jin’s katana.

I was like :patrice:

But after putting some hours into the game. I was tripping:martin:...this katana and all of the stances plus the extra moves is so layered and deep. In addition to all the combinations you can chain together, they really excelled with the combat in the game.

Yeah, for the most part, the combat feels just right.
