Coli.
This high key sounds appealing and I wouldn't be opposed to act on it potentially (with some sort of 3-5 year plan in place) if it was just me. The decision becomes a lot more difficult if spouses and/or kids are involved. Not to mention, other immediate and non immediate family you would be leaving. It would be tough as hell.

What's their Healthcare and Information Technology systems looking like?
you're right on this one we have a coli breh @BXKingPin82 going thought that :francis: hope everything works out for him.

First of all, I say that because there is an expectation that you have to be in love with a place and it’s people in order to make way there and you don’t. Plenty of Lebanese, euros, Chinese and Indians there etc..

I mention Africa because it is a continent with 50 plus countries and people may have different countries of interest.

Third, you think every parcel of land in the second biggest continent in the world is claimed. And even if it is, people purchase land every day.

fourth, if anything I am trying to break this fantasy that some diasporan have of Africa to look at it as realistic place with issues/risks but also potential and to see where they fit in.

Africa isn’t fully developed it hasn’t stop other nationalities to make a way and to thrive in this current environment so I don’t see why AA cannot.
:gucci: You talking about ME (read: lying) and im talking about property rights.

Can you answer my very basic inquiries or not? If i invest in Africa, what must i do to defend my investment? Do i need to be like China and have a whole army? Im told we cannot take (legal in America) arms, how do we defend our personal safety? Are the police in Ghana corrupt?

These are all real questions that have nothing to do with who i like. Let's stay focused, huh?

Edit, re: buying land. Ive never heard of a forthright land sale occurring in W. Africa, anywhere. A breh in this very thread posted his own account. Will Ghana mediate this issue for those they've invited?

Pardon my unintentional ignorance but does Ghana have consistent electricity and things like Amazon Prime? Also if a breh has excellent credit and never planned on returning to the US, can you technically take out a $100,000 loan here in the states and never pay it back if you put the money in a Ghana bank account?:jbhmm:

I’m dying lol but I want to know too

Sometimes I wonder what my mental wellbeing would be like if I was living and surrounded by only black people everyday
:blessed:

I wish Africa had one currency so we could really unite and tell these other countries to fukk off and stop trying to use our culture for their own profit

Shout out to Ghana, I wish Nigeria could do better but that's a whole different thread

I'm Nigerian and even I've been thinking about Ghana.

Africa is good for those who want to be part of first set of pioneers who will transform the continent to where we wish it to be.
And this is where the problems will pop up. As much love as they’ll show you, you will still be considered an outsider. I remember i was at an embassy event and joked with an ANC deputy minister I’d like to come back and run for office. Straight up lol’d like shyt in my face. They will View you no different than whites who think they can come in and fix their issues. Cold fact but that’s how it is. The best bet is to come in, on the humble, like Jackie Robinson’s son who moved there back in the 70s and got farmers To form a co opt to prevent big farm industries from coming thru and crushing the buildings

In Droves breh? And what are they doing that for, I would assume most are them are their on business and not looking to live there for the rest of there lives either. So again why would AAs leave America and move to a place they have no ties too for no reason other than Because it's black people there.
