A autocracy doesn't correlate with a "failed state". Its actually the opposite. I mean Libya under Qaddafi sure as hell wasn't a failed state and the Qaddafi reign is as autocracy as it gets. Libya now without Qaddafi? Becoming the new Somalia and already being labeled a failed state.

The difference being that Qaddafi created a high standard of living for his people.

And I didn't say an autocracy is a failed state, I said its worse, especially when you consider the mass ethnic cleansing and removal of people of their ancestral lands that these regimes tend to do.

I had a white manager when I worked at AT&T that went to Africa for her vacation. She spent like 3 weeks out there. She said it was her 4th trip to Africa and she loved it out there

Yea. She still travels back to Nigeria twice a year to see her 2 siblings and their kids downwards. I don't really keep up with my Nigerian side too much tho. I've only seen them about 3 times in my life(most recently back in 2011) when visiting Lagos.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm far more connected to Ghana than Nigeria since me and both my parents were born in the former.
