I've been to both. People tend to forget that some of these countries have only been independant for about 60 years. Sh*t the U.S. was fighting a Civil War around that time.

Calls african countries failed states when most have some of the fastest growing economies. Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya and south Africa are all 2nd world countries and Nigeria and south africa are part of the next 11 (look it up).

And they are all at the bottom of the list re: GDP per capita so they SHOULD have some of the fastest growing economies :skip:

Not know basic economics brehs :snoop:

He's igbo but he grew up in the north and spoke fluent hausa even tho both his parents are igbo. You would have thought he was hausa.just pointing out how similar most west africans are.

Is he from Kano? Abuja?

It's the same case with me. Despite the large amount of Hausa-speakers in Ghana, only a few of the speakers are actually Hausa people. I'm for example a Dagomba(not completely, my mother is half Yoruba).

We also have quite a few Yoruba speakers down in our capital Accra because of the Nigerian restaurant and business owners. lol.

Hope the child suicide bombers don't kill you!

Better keep a lot of foreign currency because the Naira is well on its way to being the next Zimbabwean dollar!

I noticed the British accent in some people, the popularity of British beer (thick, dark, higher alcohol percentage than some light people people sip in the USA) and the heat. Some of the "nice" restaurants were really just places that served American food. They were expensive. Also, the presence of rice was on par of when I visited China. There were some days I had rice for all 3 meals. So if you like rice, great. If you don't, then go with the stew and eat other things. Ghana is a pretty country. If you like taking pictures of nature, you'll take a lot of pictures and be happy with how it looks.

What's the pawg situation like out there :patrice:

What languages do you know?

Unfortunately only igbo and English, i lived in Nigeria for the first 11yrs of my life now I think about it I was never exposed to the other cultures like that. My city was multicultural but majority south south and south east Nigerians (technically igbo).

You're moms half Yoruba, dudes that's so tight im a huge ethnicity/race nerd and im legit smiling right now. Do you know what your Yoruba grandparent was doing in Ghana at that time?

Lol my headmaster at my primary school was ghanain as well as my math tutor. Ghanains and Nigerians should really be best of friends.
