In two scenes it showed him able the lean forward to his hands. The 1st was when he was trying to eat through the rope and the 2nd when he saw the cotton. It was made to show he was able to lean towards his hands.

Even though the subject matter is so jarring for white folks, they cant deny this. This film did everything right in regards to traditional film making. Peele is talented as fukk.
