Really great movie. Although this easily could've worked because of the concept alone, Peele embraces much higher abstract sensibilities and actually creates an experience that almost feels Kubrickian at times. You could always tell at least one of them vibed with that in their tv-show that often featured sketches playing out a horror concept with abstract humor, and with this movie it's pretty clear that Peele was the main man behind those sketches. If this is the result from switching from tv to movies, I'm looking forward to see what he can pull off with a higher budget.

Honestly, the pretentious "militant blacks" that the movie spawned is just as annoying to me as the white hipster SJW's. Sunken Place this, sunken place that...bruh, life is unfair, in doesn't care for your skin color or mentality. With that said, this was basically a two hour long episode of Dark Mirror. Kaluuya being the lead only confirms my assumption that Peele saw said episode and thought "hey I can make a pro-black film to not only push the agenda, but become stupidly famous in the process".

While this movie is good (7/10) to me it feels like a Twilight Zone/Dark Mirror episode on full tilt. Honestly, if it came out in 2010 this movie would've been a rental at some dvd dugout. Overrated isn't even the word currently.
