This is why good homes in the hood get bad appraisals and why u can’t have neighbors come over because they can bring roaches to your crib
:dwillhuh:. Hood homes get bad appraisals because of systematic racism. Hell Black owned homes in general do.

Roaches live in any neighborhood you have humans with bad habits. I work with property management companies and unfit homes are not a "hood" phenomenon. I seen disturbing shyt everywhere.

There's properties that are infested because of neglect but that wasn't one of those.. that was a tenant hygiene issue and again being unhygienic isn't a tax bracket issue. You can come from nothing and still be raised right and care for the little you have.

Since you went through this, can they gain access to your place without your permission?

As for your experience, you learned a lesson. All good! Thanks for sharing! Salute! 😎👍🏿
Yeah I did keep the lesson, still embarrassing to relive that memory lol. You see your friends and they all telling you they getting calls from Rent a center like :skip:

Not that I'm aware of, and they never tried to make (unauthorized or forced) entry with me. And as far as I know, they contacted everyone but the apartment management. Like many have mentioned, they'd probably have to get with the sheriff or constable to do something like that. From the video, I'm assuming they must have allowed them in.

You are renting their property, so yes. If repeatedly you aren’t home, they probably could try a sheriff but most likely it will get sent to collections and they put you on a restricted list.
I imagine that if they can prove the property is in the house and you refuse to return it, their can be legal ramifications. Like if you keep a rental car too long they can charge you with possession of stolen property. Same applies here as long as the furniture is valued above a certain threshold (usually 1,000-1,500 or more)
OK. I never used RAC and don't plan on using them. I would rather buy my furniture cash or use a CC, if necessary.

Yeah, I would hate to be that dude to go pick up furniture/appliances.

We all learn lessons. That's a part of life. RAC reminds me of those payday loan companies. Super high interest rates and they pray on poor or people with bad credit.

When I bought my house, I went to Ashley's furniture and bought my furniture on credit. I basically overextended myself and it took me a long time to pay them off. That was my lesson learned.
