pitts are the only dogs who seem like they dont or cant even show any emotion either. other dogs you can tell when they are happy to see you or sad pits are just soulless and empty. they literally are only good for trying to create some kind of tough image for the owner. thats it

:deadmax:

Bruh its still a dog, they all do the same shyt: Wag their tail and breathe heavier.
Or do other dogs smile and ask how your day was :mjpls:

:lupe: :dahell:

This is a bad thing? Oh wait in some warped universe I'm supposed to prove my manhood to common street thugs.

You continue walking as you would any other dog, or do you always cross the street like a bytch :leostare:

This was the dumbest post in the entire thread. You've obviously never spent any time around pits. The opposite is actually true. They are more clownish and silly and demonstrative than most dogs. Ask the AKC. My pit makes every single coli smiley face.

That is why law enforcement and the military don't use pits or rotts

Those animals are timebombs

Do they not use pits because they're "time bombs"... Or because German Shepherds are just more well-rounded dogs? :ohhh:

A relatively new breed like pitbulls (who are mostly mutts) haven't been bred for generations to hunt like the German Shepherds (who have been in that game for much longer), so Germans are naturally better at it. Doesn't mean pitbulls aren't selected due to hyper aggressive nature or whatever, just means Shepherds have better noses.

As a person who grew up around pits and owned a pit. I can honestly say that Pits are a violent breed by nature. Their chemical and physical make up is for fighting. I know some people are in this thread like "my pit is a loving dog that wouldn't hurt a fly" :usure:

Pits can snap at any given moment and it doesn't matter how trained a pit is or how obiedient the dog is, it stil has a high risk of attacking/killing/hurting someone. Are there irresponsible owners, of course there are.

But many people simply don't know the history of American Pit bull Terriors/ Staff Terriors etc. They don't understand their back round.

I would never own a pit bull again and I especially would never bring a child around a pit bull

Actually that is exactly why pits are not selected

Are y'all serious ? :dahell:

I used to own a pit (family dog in my family home moved out years ago) that dog was one of the best dogs I'd come across but I can't deny pits have a violent tendency. :dahell:

They account for the largest number of dog on human killings in most countries :dahell:

We can't even deny this shyt

This is just facts

They didn't always have such a bad rep though, it was after the 80's when people chose pits as the dog of choice for dog fighting.

THIS.

I lived 18 years with a pit and even I know now that out of all the breeds they are the leading offender when it comes to dogs killing/torturing humans.

If you read statistics on dogs committing violent crimes, pits are at number one for most European countries and the USA.

There are always going to be humans who mistreat or misuse pits which is sad but honestly if i have a kid I don't care how 'nice' my pit is, it aign't coming near them.

I don't think people know about the history of pits at all.

I'm of the belief that owning a Pitbull is very irresponsible. Of course all the Pitbull owners will defend it.

If somone owned a Chimpanzee they would probably think that was crazy but what if that person said they had many Chimps in the past and that they've never attacked anyone because he's a responsible trainer and the ones that killed people werent you would still look at him like he was crazy. but not Pitbull owners.

Even if you do train it well what if a situation arises where it's natural instincts kick in you now have an animal with all the tools to kill people that you put it in contact with.

Packs of dogs are dangerous regardless of the breed. If you have ever ventured around poorer countries where it is the norm for people to keep "outside" dogs, you would have an idea. I'm the last person to defend pits, but this seems like more of a idiot owner rather than malicious breed situation.

Uh the issue is the owner, not the dogs bruh. This fukking bum got 8 pits who were obviously bred poorly and raised like shyt in horrible conditions. I have a pit who was trained and treated properly and he wouldn't hurt a fly unless he was protecting us. He's even cool with my neighbor's cat.

I HATE WHEN ANY ANIMAL OWNER SAYS THIS.

fukk Pit Bulls :pacspit:

Everytime I turn on the news now, its the same story about them. There are plenty of other dogs out there that are easier to deal with yet its the same group of wannabe tough guys with the need to own one. I was almost a victim of a vicious pit bull attack when I was a kid so I'll never feel any remorse for them.

They didn't always have such a bad rep though, it was after the 80's when people chose pits as the dog of choice for dog fighting.

Pits were the most responsible for human deaths in the 80's when dogfighting, drug stash protecting and having fierce pit became trendy and they got bred for violence and neglected like crazy.

Then in the 90's rottweilers led in fatalities when they had a short trend. Then it was pits again in the 00's.

In the 70's in was german shepherds. Pits were considered family friendly dogs before around the 80's. The dog from the little rascals was a pit.

This line of reasoning makes no sense when you take into account dog fatalities by breed fluctuate over time dependent upon external factors.
