It's reality and common sense breh, something populists usually lack. Everybody (inclding right parties) know damn well you can't stop people's movement in Europe. You can't put walls everywhere, sink evrey boat, kill every migrant. Whether you like or not, you can't. We don't have Americans' and Canadians' luxury of distance and oceans. Right-wing governments have been trying for decades, it doesn't work. I repeat : it doesn't work, and it's not by lack of trying. You must know all about Calais, and people STILL managed to get to the UK.

Unless, indeed you move to a xenophobic authoritarian regime.Then it MIGHT work.


And it's not "massive" lol y'all make it sound like it's tons of migrants and refugees roaming in every street of Europe Statistics talk about 1.5-2 million people in 28 countries since 2015, compared to a European population of...500+ millions.

If people are storming across the border from another country that is an invasion, that's common sense and reality. Not this absurd paradigm of opposite extremes you are proposing. There is a middle ground between the dissolution of border integrity and a closed xenophobic society.

Russia is extensively involved in the Syrian conflict but has done virtually nothing to help the 11 million people who have lost their homes and livelihoods as a result. Russia has the resources to do much more, but it has yet to show any inclination to pull its weight.

China will step up economic aid to help countries deal with the Syrian refugee crisis, but Beijing has no plan to provide shelter for refugees from the war-torn region

They were forced into Germany because of war in their homelands. All that means is these migrants may not want to be in Germany or take part in its society. That’s not a great recipe for success.

And China went to Africa and hired its own. if they won;t help people they promised to help after putting them out of business, imagine a foreigner/migrant!

You mean the way Germans were forced out after WW 2 to other European countries and the West (N. & S. America)? Open borders basically gave the migrants no other choice. So they HAD to pick it when other doors closed.
