This isn't a movie, track and shoot if they want to do suicide stunts. Not advocating for the police but he nearly got killed trying to do a wellness check.

Leg shot is hard to get on a moving target at that range...

Not even an attempt? Still, this is not on the cop. But just to know that if you have a mental emergency you will get killed because cops are not trained to handle those.

She was suicidal and a lost cause, thankfully she didn't take anyone else with her..

Anyone opening a door swinging a knife at a cop is most likely getting shot.

Running at that same cop with that knife after you already swung it at them will also get you shot.

The only thing to defend is the need better resources for mental health issues and when dealing with a mental health crisis.

Sending police for a mental health intervention is the last thing you want to do, especially when someone is a danger to themselves and others.

Such a damn shame.

On her LinkedIn and Facebook pages, she had posted about receiving a certification in mental health training earlier this year.
"I'm proud of this! I became certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid after 8 hours of necessary training," she wrote on Facebook.
"As a people manager, mentor, friend, big cousin, daughter .. the list goes on, it's important to be able to help and identify challenges in myself and others. I think this is the greatest act of love."

Accountability is a thing for both genders.

I'm wondering where was the Georgetown Athletic crew? They usually pay attention to signs like mental illness. Who called the cops? Why wasn't a tazer used or mace?
