The things people liked the most about star wars involved other people. The prequels are what you get when you give him no guardrails. Trash.
And the Disney films are a blatant, shameless cash grab made by people who wanted to get a return on their "investment" they don't care about the themes, characters or anything other than "what will drive traffic to our theme parks, streaming service, and merchandise stores"
The "forced diversity" whining is annoying, but these characters are clearly there as bait to try and get people to watch the movies. Then when they see the black storm trooper that isn't force sensitive, doesn't try to reconcile his life of being a storm trooper with the fact that he had to kill people who may have been his friends and forced to fight just like him, doesn't end up with the protagonist whom he clearly has chemistry with, they get frustrated because the expectations that Disney set were not met.
Of course they don't care though because by then it's too late. They've gotten you to watch the other movies implying that they'd do something...anything meaningful with these characters.
I stand corrected, place man-hating women in charge without knowledge of the material and these are the results...
