The team was MUCH better with chauncy and that isn't debatable. Record be damned. All I'm saying is I don't think karl is wrong in his assessment. No need to call them fatherless but still.....at that time I think what he says fits. Melo gets some of the same criticisms still from Phil jackson. I'm a Melo fan but some of the flaws in his game are obvious. Jr WAS a knucklehead. I don't doubt his clique was just as immature as he was and a nuisance. Maybe I have some bias since the supersonics were my favorite team of the 90s outside of the magic but I don't see any players ripping karl except for ones that have a history of being criticized for their lack of commitment to being the best player they can be.... so I see no reason to say he's wrong.

Your completely giving Karl a pass though aNd saying oh they refused to be coached . He's the coach his job is to either get players to play with his system or adapt . He had a perennial playoff team once melo got there . And coaching literally cost them that series vs the lakers. He was happy to see melo go? Yet who won more playoff series since melo left ? Who got fired twice ? Karl Pretty much showed why he couldn't reach those players with that fatherless so they never knew to be men comment . Nobody cares that Karl is going at Carmelo about his skills or winning ( ironic since Karl hasn't won shyt), it's his father comments and the Posse comments that are the real problems. Why bring up the fact that Carmelo grew up fatherless (Especially when everybody knows the circumstances in which his father died)? Again, George Karl has gone through extensive cancer himself, what was the purpose for this? That's one of the reasons people are upset.

Secondly, the Posse comments. We just had a national conversation on the topic and how older white men are starting to use it as a negative racial connotation. Karl is aware of the situation since he's friends with Phil Jackson, So why use it after we just had a national discussion on it? It's simple, he wanted to stir up controversy to sell his POS book ( classless BTW). That why people are barking at him.

Karl is a Trash ass coach, and based on his previous actions ( trying to trade DMC behind his back, calling black coaches affirmative action coach's), he seems to be a Trash ass human as well.

His comments hold zero validity unless they say we BOTH failed . Melo was good enough to bring them to the playoffs literally every year since he arrived in Denver but people talk as if he's only lost ala minny love . Who lead the none billups teams to the playoffs ?? Melo is a leader and is respected by the very best players in the league . He's not Lebron but there's only one bron . Those Denver teams were good but they werent fukkin with Lakers...There are a shytload of stars in NBA history that never played defense and the coach didnt go off and write a book about it...

It's funny how Melo and JR actually went on to have their best seasons under a different coach.Tyronn Lue was actually able to make JR and starter and take advantage of his skill set to help the team win a title, whereas George would regularly bench JR for taking the same type of shots that made him so successful later on, and would opt to play Anthony fukking Carter at pg alongside Iverson and Billups down the stretch of games instead(and his insistence on playing Carter basically cost them the conference finals that one year). Karl had AMAZING talent in Denver, and had no fukking idea on how to take advantage of it. For all the shyt that Karl talks about his players, it always seemed like he did little to elevate them. He's a mediocre coach, a shytty person, and deserves hands put on him for his awful comments about Melo, JR, and Martin. fukk him.
