I'm ignoring your first part because that has literally nothign to do with the thread.
If you want, you can create a thread called "Do Light-Skin people actually have it bad?"
Cuz that's clearly what you came in here to talk about

As for your second part, I don't care if you disagree with my assertion, doesn't change facts at all :mjlol:

I'm against posting pics of people other than myself on here, but one of my exes is the same complexion as OP, and she's 100% Abia
My recent gf is my skintone, but her little sister is lighter than OP and they are 100% Imo
My cousin is around OPs tone and he's 100% Anambra like me
Unless you gonna say OP isn't "Light" compared to Americans :mjlol:

You are not some authority on African skintones.

You need to relax cuz you come off sounding crazy in this thread

Just admit that you are wrong, and keep it moving
Whats lightskinned in Nigeria aint light skinned in the west..:shaq2:
Yall really need to come off this bs, yall be peddling of this mythic 'light skinned' race, especially amongst WA tribes!
Total difference between complexion variations and complete ethnic divergence! You certainly won't walk around Lagos, and see a bunch of Mya's. And if so, chances are they likely DO have European descent..or will we not recognize the region wasnt colonized, worse, shall we pretend that the origins of some of these 'lightskins', arent actually products of secret ir couplings :sas2:

You guys are not catching my drift. I used to to read anthropological studies on human biodiversity focusing on African people for fun.

There is a lot of racist ideologies that persist in this field.

You and @Ya? are exactly the people this thread is made for.:mjlol:
You're so arrogant and confident in your false assertions that you don't even realize how foolish you look.

I was born in Lagos, all my family was born in Igbokwu, there is nothing "mythical" about lightskin people in Nigeria.

And "secret copulings?" :dahell:

nikka I will find my lightest relative and I bet you a million dollars that he is more genetically African than 95% of black people in the US.

Ya'll so anti-light skin that its making you look dumb as hell in this thread

My sole point is that most of what the West believes are "African Traits" are really narrow and inaccurate.
Talk to any African if you don't believe me, they'll laugh at how the West views us
I've deaded friendships over this no joke. The shyt I was hearing left me in :scust: mode

You 100% right.

she'll have to forgive me for posting her here, but you got people like this
6oh80p6.png

She is 100% Nigerian, her mother is actually much lighter than she is.
Both of her brothers are lighter than her (Lonzo Ball complexion)
She doesn't have a cac in her heritage.

But i guess according to some posters, she, her brothers, and her mother would be considered darkskin in the west :ohhh:

Cuz lightskin Africans are a myth :ohhh:

..Yeah, but my Uncle is from Lagos, and we'd consider him 'Lightskinned' for a Nigerian, as he's many shades lighter than the avg...about Will Smith's complexion. But not so out of the norm he'd be considered an oddity ie::heh:.
Thought playing the 'African card' was going to work.:russ:....

Funny how you actually made the point with Lemar Obika: variation(w/mutation) vs ethnic divergence; similarly
images

The former, indeed being the product of a *shhh, secret IR coupling. And you say that is the norm, thats simply a lie.

Exactly, so why are you even in this discussion, being neither Black nor African?!:dahell:

There is color variation in AA also even while being a mixed Population.

I'm around 72 % African but my cousin is 70% African and much darker than I am.

When people look at him they would assume I'm less African than him purely off complexion.

Serious question : so in essence, everybody of every 'race' is African to a lesser extent?
If EVERY phenotype originates in Africa (slanted eyes, straight hair, narrow noses, etc.) than doesn't that make everyone just that, African? Just some races have more deviations than the next from the original, no?

Ive been saying this since the media portrays it that most light-skin Black people have a White parent
:camby:

...and Im not even light-skin :stopitslime:

Ive ALWAYS felt Black people using our countless different complexions to measure our blackness was fundamentally flawed because Black people have so many natural variations with our skin colors that have nothing to do with "race mixing"

You know what is crazy I am more African than a few of my brown skin cousins on 23 and me. :manny: I just wanted know why I came out this light skinned yet still considerably of African descent. It didn’t make any sense because their were black people less African than me but still darker skinned. :mjcry:

Years ago I asked that same question on a genetic group after I received my 23andMe results. I'm the opposite of you, dark skin but only 68% west african. I was told that one's % of african blood =/= to pigmentation. This was back in 2012.

Both my dad's maternal and paternal lines are fair skin. My mother's maternal line is fair skin but her paternal line is not. Her father's line is from the South Carolina/Georgia border and lived in what is described as a "genetic bottleneck". Pretty much, was a group of blacks that went unmixed and had little genetic contact with other races. Kind of like the Gullahs. So they're extremeley dark. So with me, it's apparent, my grandfather's genes kicked in and obliterated any european pigmentation genes I would have inherited from the other lines.

They claim that veryone outside of Africa is related to a small group of Africans who left the African continent.

Melanesian, Aborigines and Some South Indians are related to a group who left and still held in to that darker skin gene found Commonly in darker populations in Africa.
