It was either that or mindless neoliberal corporate beholden genocidal shill without a moral compass

Which doesn’t roll off the tongue as well
Chuckle. Because folks in the board throw those labels doesn't mean you accept them. To accept them is to embrace the bullshyt it represents.

Voting isn’t the “entire process.”
Hopefully no one takes the bait and argues with him over this. He’s arguing the equivalent of spending all semester studying for finals, finishing the test and not turning it in

Aside from Trump being elected, the mods not renaming him smooth mind is the biggest disappointment lately

Choosing to withhold your vote is the dumbest form of a protest. If rather you just cast a vote for Mickey mouse. But choosing to not participate in the entire process but still complain about the process is a different level of delusion
Easy to understand why voters chose to not participate when you prefer to serve your donors in AIPAC and billionaires instead of your constitutes. Yall need to start blaming the party instead of voters for not caring about a party that doesn't work for them. Voters aren't going to vote for you when you refused to pass promised policies and/or cost of living has risen.

This. I’m confused why people think protest votes/non votes lost the Dems the election. Immigration & cost of living is what sunk the Dems.

Jesus Christ. You are right. No one has to vote if the policies aren't to their liking.

It is also true, that not voting knowing the threat of Trump is irresponsible as fukk.

The need for folks to say "I told you so" in every post is amazing. You guys aren't idiots either. At some point you need to stop rehashing November and decide to move forward together.
That goes for the left and the center left.

I prefer to argue about the 10% we disagree on while the right unites on the 10% they agree on as long as it means they are in power.

In all seriousness though. At this stage I think you all get a kick out of arguing with each other instead of finding common ground, and I don't know why.

You can't move forward when the party refuses to do a legitimate autopsy of the political conditions that explains why this happened. The same shyt will happen in 30/ 2032 but worse if the party doesn't reconcile the relationship that they have with working class voters. It's easy to go " the voters are stupid they will have to learn " blah blah blah. yes they're stupid, which is why you have to have plans to change their lives materially. Democrats had several plans going into 2021, refused to orchestrate the major ones. After a while voters get tired of the failed promises that you had bases on appealing your donors clas and move on.

Right. So who in this thread has failed to do a legit autopsy of the political conditions? Why are we still arguing over this? If we admit people are stupid how do you stop them from believing liars, wh9 deliberately cause chaos and pretend to fix it?

Back in the day attempts were made but ironically the people that tout themselves as the smartest and most moral preferred to argue about why everyone else was inferior (intellectually, morally, etc) with a host of accompanying slurs to hammer home the point.

Don’t know how you build coalitions by degrading the people you are most closely aligned with politically, but thankfully they don’t represent your actual everyday human being in the real world.

Right, so in this thread we have argued over the classic case of people who looked at Kamala’s policies vs Trump's policies in a blind test.

Folks were happier with Kamala’s policies until they heard it was from Kamala.

Meanwhile some of these same folks happily voted for the guy who started a government insurrection on January 6th.

Are we going to really step back and say these people don't have to look at themselves to ask why they voted the way they did? Or chose not to vote? This is where i go back to absolutes. Dealing in absolutes never gives a true picture.

For people to be so smart some in here have a tough time with understanding concepts such as this. There never is gray, only black and white and of the black and white choices only their preference is correct.

The refusal (or inability) to understand some issues are complex, have nuance, there can be more than one right answer, etc is a reason why people give you migraines on here every day.
