It’s such a small issue it’s crazy.

Lots of youth sports are co-ed already.

Very few young girls are in a position athletically that encountering a trans athlete would effect their life in any way.

And there’s probably less than a few hundred trans girls that even want to play girls youth sports.

AND local leagues and municipals can set their own rules about who gets to participate. If you have a really competitive girls wrestling league then you can designate it to cis girls if you want.

AND as a parent you have the choice when/where/how your kid participates.

This whole fight at the federal level is a hate based culture war, not something that will ever effect 99% of americans.

Goes to show how easy it is to get people to behave irrationally with hate and fear.

You can’t keep saying its a small issue if you’re hinging your argument based on participation numbers.

Either you support it…or you do not…

Which is it? If that number rises, you have basically said your opinion would change.

This was less of an issue 10 years ago, now the olympics and other sports agencies had to ban trans participation. So whats the issue? Are they “freaking out over small numbers” too?

No one is being oppressed. Again leagues have the right to do what they want, and parents have the right to do what they want.

Trans women should compete with men.

It’s not about femininity or masculinity, it’s about competition.

If a cis woman was good enough, they would also compete in men’s leagues, they don’t because they’re at an insurmountable biological disadvantage

When we start talking about Adult Athletes sure they should be separate and they are separate. But that has nothing to do with the federal government.
