Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition Grants Early Access To Game
JD_Kait_Del610.jpg

Hardcore Gears fans may want to look into the Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition. This $99.99 package includes Gears 4, the season pass, a limited edition Steelbook case, and early access to the game.

The season pass (which will cost you $49.99 if you wait to buy it later) features a Vintage VIP pack with some weapon skins, permanent access to the 24 maps (which The Coalition plans to roll out two per month for a year after launch), private dedicated servers, access to a Developer Playlist that lets you try out new maps and modes before they become available to the wider public, and six Gears packs. These unlock new weapon skins, equipment, boosts, and character skins.

The early access period begins October 7, for days before the standard edition's release. You can pre-order the game now at retailers or online, and doing so grants you a Vintage Del Gear Pack that includes a new Del model, emblem, two vintage weapon skins, and a Del bounty.

Microsoft is also offering a $249.99 Collector's Edition that comes with a JD Fenix COG bike premium statue, lithograph, and frag grenade keychain.

Our Take
If you're a Gears die hard who plans to buy the season pass anyway, the Ultimate Edition seems like the best deal available.

Been about 4 years since I last played Gears. Feels like exact same, just gotta get used to the maps/wall bouncing again and I'm good to go

Characters don't look very interesting but maybe the campaign will help flesh them out a lot. Hope we get Marcus, Cole, Baird, Dizzy, another Carmine etc back just for multiplayer

Thinking about getting the ultimate edition b/c I know I'm gonna put some time into this game

I'm trying to give the hammerburst a chance and maybe its just me, but my god does it suck ass. Bring back the semi auto one from Gears 3 and the retro lancer

Aside from those struggles I've got my groove back going 2.0 & better with ease

Retro is back. And is it a point in buying season pass if the maps will be free?

Finally got some matches in.

Man i suck.:mjlol:

Had almost forgotten how much fun this game is:banderas:

Only thing I don't like is the grandes being set as mines. It's cheap and almost impossible to avoid. They should lower the damage on those
