I was playing through the whole series on xb1 until the division came out. I hope this game is more gears of war 1 - 3 and not judgement.

I mean, without spoilers the story is pretty simple. It's humanity's fight for survival against the locust. Its not that deep of a story, aside from Marcus Fenix and his relationship with his father.
There's a ton of sad moments as you get to see first hand friends and family members killed and you see the emotional toll it takes on your squad.
To go into further detail would ruin the story for some people and since the game is now playable on XB1 I'd assume there are some people that may be playing the game for the first time.
