My phone does enough for me, i mean im not THAT nitpicky with my emulators that i care if the sound doesnt work perfectly. Ive only run into a few roms that really had any noticable issues on my phone anyway, and im still using a Galaxy S2

Sound lag depends on the emulator and the device...also the settings...if u have a powerful device ur fine...im not even saying this handheld isnt nice..I understand both sides of the argument in all honesty ..one thing I will say is if it can run PSX and N64 games flawlessly than I will cop the shyt myself..lol..the screen is a little small tho..
Aight bet, I get what you're saying. The PSX and N64 emulators are still in development. I expect really good PSX emulation and not bad N64 emulation. The modded xbox couldn't handle all N64 games and I kind of expect the same from this.

Screen resolution is terribly small at 320x240. I get why they did it - they figure all the things they're emulating are pretty much 320x240 native (640x480 interlaced) but it's gonna be a turn off to some people just looking at the specs. It even was to me at first.

Anyway, I don't mind being the guinea pig either :manny: I know I'll rock it on the train at least so I can let y'all know how it runs.

that's the definition of additional controls. youre agreeing with me. these arent excuses theyre reasons for certain types of people. you dont fit into that niche and thats fine.

If thats you then thats you. i just finished metroid fusion on my laptop and got the inkling to play it when i ride the train. i'm not gonna rock touch controls or carry around a bt pad with a phone on my lap tryna play on the train.

honestly yall saying this is pointless is a lot like saying its pointless to own a dslr in 2013 because phones take picture too.

:comeon:

A DSLR takes far superior pictures than a camera phone. This device doesn't offer a far superior gaming experience than my Microsoft surface. Sorry breh.

But hey, i'm sure you could always use an extra electronic device! :lolbron:

I do consider this a far better portable gaming experience. And yeah, I'm not afraid of extra devices. Just like I have a laptop and a desktop and just like I have all 3 consoles, I'm ok with having multiple handhelds. Like I said, I'm not gonna be on the train with a Surface on my lap and a 360 pad in my hand. How that's supposed to look any more normal I have no idea.

Yea..the N64 is like the only EMU that has some issues on my OG xbox and some PSX games since there is barely any Playstation Emulator support on OG Xbox..there is literally only like 1 PSX emulator to choose from...all u gotta do is tweak settings and it plays most shyt tho...every other Emu runs pretty much flawlessly on my xbox tho from Nes to Snes to Genesis to Mame...etc etc...my phone has EPSXE which is damn near flawless on PC and it runs my PSX games damn near flawlessly on my phone...again..N64 Emu needs work on that as well..like I said if this runs those specifically flawlessly im def on board...so let me know how it is when u get it..

i wish someone would release a console like this. HDMI hook up, two wireless pads, and an SD card slot and/or harddrive. Handheld is cool but I wanna be able to play on my TV without hooking up a PC to it.

Y'all still getting it twisted. I'm not giving you reasons you should get one of these. It sounds like it's not for you. But to say it's pointless is as dumb as calling a DSLR pointless. Really, you suggest I carry around a DS3 and a holder for the phone. You think that's better? Also, android, as an OS, has inherent sound lag in emulating SNES and other consoles. If you don't notice it then great.

what are u apart of their marketing department?

Wow, youre just trolling now. I even said it sounds like it's not for you but somehow that makes me a part of their marketing department. You must be new here to basically be calling me a fanboy of anything not named Steam.

Almost at 115K. It is definitely going to reach its mark

Yeah, they added some stretch goals now too. Doubt they'll make it to 200k but I would love that carrying pouch.

Mod an OG Xbox and call it a day my g...

Yeah, this was the best back in the day. There may be a better option now but I don't know. I hook up my laptop to the TV but that's a lot more expensive than it needs to be for just straight up emulation. Then again, my laptop also emulates Wii and PS2.

Man I gave up on PS2 emulation a long time ago, has it made great strides lately? What are the requirements like for that?

PCSX2 still the best option?

PCSX2 is def still the best option. I haven't messed around with it too much tbh. It still requires some sort of quad core to get running decently. Even then, you can probably expect 75% framerate a lot of the time. I would give it a try though. Especially for slower paced games like RPGs or Ico style games.
