those chinese investors have been divesting american commercial and residential real estate since 2017

i know personally of 2 different development firms that pulled out while they were still developing a property

this one skyscraper in chicago was the wildest example..... selling it off cheap while they were still in the process of building...

the chinese government had foresight into the trump fukkery and has been pulling their chips back home

Ummmm......I just saw Gavin Newsom on CNN say that although they've had plenty of disagreements in the past, that Trump administration has met all California's request during this pandemic. I literally just saw this. Where is this report from?

Newsome spoke about this before with different wording but he and other western states have joined forces instead of competing against one another and procured a lot of masks, ventilators, and other PPE. Never heard him use the phrase "nation-state" before but he did say something similar with the exporting part. They sent ventilators here to Chicago and New York on loan.

The governor here has said similar about the donations from Cali and how they are having to compete with not only other states, but also the federal government, for resources so I don't think it is a big deal.

Even when I do see Newsome, our governor, or Cuomo, none of them do seem to outright want to start an argument with Trump and vice-versa. I have just chalked it up to not wanting to stir up the public or politicizing this openly.

"Nation-state" is an odd choice of wording tho

Crazy thing is Texas doesn't compare to California. CA has the fifth largest economy in the world. It, alongside NY, are the main reason the US remains the most dominant economy in the world.

It wont be no civil w@r (yet) unless the economy REALLY spirals the fukk out of control and 45 does something REALLY dumb (both likely possibilities) but i dont see the feds forcibly trying to bring a state back into the fold if it tries to secede and i dont see any state even cali and texas trying for full independence. Well probably end up with cali and texas (maybe nyc as well) becoming like hong kong in china or what we have with pr. An autonomous territory still under the flag but doing they own thing
