I don't know how any self respecting black man can support white nostalgia for the "good ole days". All I needed to know about the show was that it was about white men in the 50s and I knew it would be bullshyt.
Well white people are known to wanna get into everybody's business. I'll just let you in on a secret. Black people don't care about ya'll and the romantized periods of white supremacy. Same reason no sane minded black person cares about Mad Men. We're not entertained by ya'll reliving the racist glory of the past.
the plot isnt that important tbhThoughts:
1. I've read this book 3 times in my life, and I still don't really remember what the story is.
That's not what the show is about at all.
All the white people on the show are fukking miserable. The show's exactly about how the "good ole days" weren't good, the shyt was all a facade.
THe show's currently in like 68 and they've shown how the "good ole days" of the 50's led to women and minorities revolting against the shyt.
the plot isnt that important tbh
but you already got most of iti mean i remember the overall of it, all the symbolism, the life Gatsby led, the mystery, Carraway, Daisy, some chick getting hit by a car, some other dude, etc etc. but if you asked me to give you a synopsis, I'd look at you like
You've never even read 'The Great Gatsby' have you?
I don't read shyt written by white people.
