u mean Coli c00ns

I don't know how any self respecting black man can support white nostalgia for the "good ole days". All I needed to know about the show was that it was about white men in the 50s and I knew it would be bullshyt.

That's not what the show is about at all.

All the white people on the show are fukking miserable. The show's exactly about how the "good ole days" weren't good, the shyt was all a facade.

THe show's currently in like 68 and they've shown how the "good ole days" of the 50's led to women and minorities revolting against the shyt.

Thoughts:

1. I've read this book 3 times in my life, and I still don't really remember what the story is.
2. Carey whatever is incredibly boring
3. Looks overstylized, but good
4. That was the longest 3 minutes of my life
5. Leo might be the GOAT screamer

Well white people are known to wanna get into everybody's business. I'll just let you in on a secret. Black people don't care about ya'll and the romantized periods of white supremacy. Same reason no sane minded black person cares about Mad Men. We're not entertained by ya'll reliving the racist glory of the past.

i love mad men, put me on the c00n list please.

the opener pretty much put it out there that white people were acting like complete a$$holes, and this was in new york, the north. only a fukking moron who has never given the show a chance would make the assumption about "the good old days"

not to mention when homeboy wanted to tap into that black tv market and they hated on him.

nikkas assume shyt because they would rather live in a bubble of forced minority perspective instead of forming their own informed opinion.

the plot isnt that important tbh

i mean i remember the overall of it, all the symbolism, the life Gatsby led, the mystery, Carraway, Daisy, some chick getting hit by a car, some other dude, etc etc. but if you asked me to give you a synopsis, I'd look at you like :dwillhuh:

but you already got most of it

simple plot: narrator moves in to new york cuz its the place to be and finds gatsby- dude who isnt high society (hes trying to fit in unsuccessfully) but throws huge parties and makes it rain every week in hopes of meeting a girl he loved since long ago but couldnt get with because of his lack of money.

while narrator is super smart, gatsby is naive and full of hope. he meets the girl and even tho girl is clearly not as crazy about him as he is about her, they decide to get together.

at the end of the day gatsby sacrifices everything for daisy (the girl) even though shyt was her fault, but she basically leaves him because she is a stuck-up high society bytch like the rest of the elitist society, only caring about herself

at the end gatsby dies because of this sacrifice and no one gives a fukk about him but he narrator
the narrator cant stand the fakeness and egoism of society even though he can pull mad bytches and be part of it because hes smart as shyt and good looking, and leaves new york

the end

Read the book awhile back and it was sort of a let down, maybe because I kind of expected a big revelation that never came.

I don't read shyt written by white people.

Thats cool dude, but since you don't know shyt about the subject matter maybe you should stop stfu and get out of this thread.

You're coming across as hugely ignorant and borderline retarded. :lolbron:
