Is this show any good?!

Ratings for the show were NOT hot at all, but everyone I knew who watched it LOVED IT...

My thoughts on the season finale...
I liked Javier Acosta more than I liked Ryan...
Javier was the best character on the show...

This show needed a BOSS and Javier was that BOSS...

The whole show was built on Ryan's allegiance to Javier and Ryan feeding info the Acosta family because he was apart of the Acosta family...
Now basically killing Javier off they just destroyed what the entire show was built off of...

But from a writing standpoint, Javier's plan was TERRIBLE and like a 1/100 Longshot of working out...
The Metas had more money, more shooters...

So from a common sense standpoint Javier's plan of defeating the Metas was doomed from the start...

They can make a Season 2, but there is no reason to watch because they took away the shows wheels and engine...
I don't want "just another cop show"

And the following the show the Acosta gang is basically finished, they gave their whole operation to the Metas...
And they just lost their HEAD, and their lieutenants on that suicide mission in Mexicali...

No way in the world the Metas gets the drop on them after they cut the boss's daughter and they don't get buried in that desert...

:lolbron:
Bruh, I thought about it but cmon...
Dude got jumped by 75 people and I saw a shank...

There is nothing you can write to make Javier SAFE...
He has nothing to bargain with anymore, his character is dead bruh...

there was implied death, not definative death tho... he might come back for season 2. we dont know that yet... i have a feeling he's gonna be transfered to solitary to keep him alive, who knows???

That's Tyler Perry style writing...
If 3 Lords put him in a hospital bed...
What do 75 Metas do to him?

I respect everybodys opinion but I think they went so hard trying to make it to a 2nd season they have nothing to put in Season 2 that will flow and be as good as the first...

Javier was the most interesting character, I agree, but the most interesting character development was Daniel. And just like how Vito Corleone was the most interesting character in The Godfather, part II was on a whole different level. You cannot write this show off simply because Javier is now dead, especially with EVERYTHING that's left out in the open. From Daniel running the family to Carlo secretly regaining his legs, to Chapel beginning to learn about the truth about Ryan, the war with the Metas and a GANG of other loose ends that season two WILL be interesting to watch and be ignored.

You said the show needs a BOSS, I predict Daniel is going to be way more ruthless than Javier ever was. He showed signs of that as he was the one that lied to Daniel about who killed Jessica, he was the one that came up with the idea to use his own wedding as a front to hold a secret meeting with the Lords, and his turn is more cold and callus. Daniel is going to BE THAT DUDE next season. So, as much as Javier was that dude this season, no need to worry about it being a wrap because they killed him off.

Javier's plan probably WAS a long shot, but it was basically the only shot they had. It wasn't like it wasn't discussed, because Carlos stayed questioning it and was always undermined which definitely going to be addressed next season. But the idea had a GREAT chance of being pulled off had it not been for Ryan and the Metas being a step ahead when they found out they were set up. But, we would see how this will play out. We know that the Los Angelesioso gang are joined with the Lords, so their army is now doubled.

And I disagree on this being "another cop show" because they killed off Javier. The show's producers have now perfected their crafted in fucckery that it cannot even assume it to be something of a standard cop show as of now.

I just realized the leader of the Lords was the guy with one facial expression aka Tyrus from Breaking Bad.. he was also the serial killer in The Shield.

Good finale tho..

LOL@This show being another cop show... This show is far from it... the cops on here are as despicable as the people they are going after. Vic Mackey at least had some sort morals, he let criminals go on with their lives as long as they didn't interfere with what he was doing.. these cops on here are like the cops that graduated from the Alonzo Harris training program.... Other than Rza's character (Who probably has some shyt hanging in his closet that we have yet to find out about)... Most of the other main cops on here are dirty as fukk...

As a big fan of movies, I basically felt like they were COPYING "The Godfather" with Daniel and it felt forced...
If the Acosta gang is now with the Lords, ok BUT didn't the Acosta gang just give up almost all their real estate?
To put the deal between the Acosta and Metas into math the transfer was at MINIMUM 40-50% done...

Like they were only planning on keeping Javier alive till he transferred over the LAST few bits of the enterprise...
It seemed like they were just waiting on the last few bits of the deal when they talked about it...

But that's all us guessing lets talk about how the Metas let the GTF team walk away after cutting the bosses daughter and killing those soldiers...
YEAHHHHHHHHHH RIGHT!
