one hundred fifty thousand percent agree...that whole storyline had me like :rudy::comeon::snoop:

in fact...Dany's whole arc after the third book is just some mind numbingly boring bullshyt...she went from one of my top 5 characters to read about to near the bottom, because anytime she came up it was some nonsense going on...at some point I'm going to have to re-read that stuff because when I read it I was only half paying attention and was rushing to get to other POVs...so I'm not really sure if I could tell how or why all of that resolved itself

exactly bruh, im not trying to see how she runs that city on tv and it would fukk up the pacing of her character :snoop: watch when they air that shyt nikkas gonna be like ":dwillhuh:........:pacspit:"

the last part in the series where she was taken by Drogo should've happened shortly after she took the city imo :yeshrug:, instead this nikka decided to stretch it out

tbh i feel like arya's arc is the only one that has been paced perfectly from beginning to where we are now (in the books) shyt never got boring :blessed:

Am I the only one who really enjoyed the Dany chapters in the fifth book? I thought seeing the politics of Mereen were interesting and showed that taking over a city let alone a nation wont' be easy and all done just because you got the most powerful army. If Dany makes it to Westeros she is gonna need the alliance of a well known house so the Dorne alliance will definitely happen, I think :patrice:

yea im just saying that he stretched it out a little too long, yea we get it, dany isn't really cut out for that kind of status/power yet, lets get back to her moving this army and trying to figure who the other two dragon riders are going to be

Nope, you're not the only one. We finally really get to see things not go Dany's way and see how she reacts to adversity. We see her engage in actual politics instead of just making quick decisions that go her way pretty quickly (acquiring the Unsullied for example). We see her take genuine Ls. Cats are just impatient for her to get to Westeros and interact with characters who have been built up and who they're familiar with instead of these wierdly named nikkas they just met. I can understand that, though.

I do think it will translate a lot better to TV than it did in the books, though. I think the Meereneese Knot will make for great TV, especially if people can follow the new characters. Plus the dragons will be big. Women will eat up the whole Dany love story angle, especially since she'll have gone since the first season without being involved with anyone.

Anyone else thinks the beef brewing between Osha and Meera was the show runners way of planting the seed for the eventual Bran and Rickon split?

Good point. Rickon is so useless in the book and even more so on the show. I don't remember seeing him at all this season until last episode. You can tell they just threw him in there like, "Oh yeah... Rickon is supposed to be with them...":manny:

Do y'all think the sorcerer that Varys had in a box (which i don't remember being in the book) is going to play some sort of role later down the line or was it just a way to show how Varys had come up?

That's show shyt. It was just a way to show Tyrion that patience is how you act upon those who have wronged you.

i hope not that would throw off the plot if you ask me because we still have no idea what rickon and osha are doing there and Davos was sent to get rickon from that island so i have no idea how they could trash that entire plotline in the show
