Aye brehs, is it me or are they missing a lot of buildup with Jon and Ygritte. I mean, wasn't he smashing before he separated from Mances main group. I'm lost and it's been wayyyy to long since I read aSoS

yeah she pretty much rapes him at the camp but John liked it. They are condensing alot of shyt this season. I didn't expect Jamie to lose his hand this soon. Thought that would be in the season finale.

I'm wondering this too. At least it keeps us book readers on our toes. Myabe we won't see so much torture in the show :ld:

But since the show threw Jeyne Poole in the bushes I still hope that...

Theon gets a chance to redeem himself by saving a girl proving that he is still an iron born with honor, with a little encouragement from Brand.

Yeah, I thought they were going to split the book into two seasons. With the stuff they have condensed, it seems like they should be able to get most of book 3 in this season.

Love the Bear and the Maiden fair. It's my favorite song from the book cause of the crowd recited chorus. I was gonna explain what was being played at the end in the other thread since everybody was complaining about it, but then I thought "fukk IT". A bunch of them don't even really pay attention to the show and call spoilers to shyt that was revealed on the show already, but they too lost to pay attention to the details. I guess you can call it foreshadowing for Brienne and the bear pit, but I don't even think the conspiracy theorist would even put that together.

Not gonna bother potentially suffering the wrath of the McCarthyist over there. They so fukking paranoid they accusing folks who speculating what's gonna happen next of posting spoilers, damn if the speculations are right or not.

Now on to the episode. I like some of the changes HBO has made. I didn't care to see Cat chilling in Riverrun wimpering over her dad for any time. That shyt was boring in the book and I'm glad the cut it out. The only thing it did in the book was really add to the mystery of what he was mumbling about, which turned out to be the relationship between Petyr and Lysa. That shyt can be exposed in a sentence or 2 during a scene with Baelish dialogue.

Also liked how they made it more blatantly obvious Edmure is a dumbass fukkup. You understand it in the book, but nobody just comes out and sons him for his idiocy really. Blackfish and Rob checked him real quick. Plus the introduction of Blackfish was pretty cool. I wasn't happy about them not having him in season 1 when Cat visited Lysa, but I think this intro did him justice. Showed dude don't take no shyt and still came off as a badass. He's one of my favorite lesser characters in the books.

Jaime getting his hand cut off because of him being a smug pompous prick instead of Vargo Hoat doing it as some kind of insurance was another solid change. Still arrive at the same conclusion and it's consistent with Jaime's character, even with the slow face turn people are starting to see after he saved Brienne.

Not quite sure how I feel about Ramsay's intro now. Show fans are just too damn confused on who he is and his purpose. But I guess that too will work out when he reveals himself to just be a damn psychopath. I just feel like the going through a bunch of extra shyt on that one. I was wondering how they were gonna bring him out since they didn't do the Winterfell doublecross quite the same. Another rescue fukkery works just as well in their eyes I guess.

That scene with the chairs in the new small chamber was great too.

And it goes without saying the I am definitely a fan of the Missandei change and age advancement and Pod getting his intro'd to the worlds oldest profession in style. :whew::ohlawd::takedat:

Best episode of the season so far, hands down (forgot to add "Don't even aske me how").

And how come my nikka Sam the Slayer ain't caught his body :why:

This and the the Stannis and Melissandre fukkery are the 2 plotlines tv show wise that I haven't been feeling so far. Dude playing Mance has none of the charisma, menacing, or leadership qualities that he did in the book. nikka just stale to me. I know they can't delve into everybodies character like the do in the books, but he gets enough screen time where they can play that shyt up a bit. And other than being by his side most of the scenes, Ygritte has no presence yet either. At least have the bytch flirting some more or something.

And I think they got this nikka Stannis too damn weak and subservient to Melissandre. It was almost to a point in the book where he really doubted if Melissandre was of any use, but on here he chasing after her like a dog in heat and he just tryna sniff at her ass.

yea the theon/ramsay storyline, lack of jon/ygritte rape scenes, and stannis turning into a herb are the 3 things that i find a little wack about this season but everything else is so good so far i cant even complain. blackfish is so dope im pissed he wasnt in the show since season 1 but im glad he's on it now.

EDIT: i also have to add, they kinda fukked up robb's character in the show. in the book, readers are a little more understanding of him breaking his vows to the freys. he just found out his brothers were dead, jeyne westerling was taking care of his wound, he piped and then he married her so he wouldnt shame her family. also, that brought in the westerlings and the crag. in the show, its like he just did it cause he wanted to. fell in love in like 3 days with some bytch from essos just cause she didnt kiss his ass, and lost the freys. its almost like he just doing whatever the fukk he wants and it makes it harder for the viewers to understand where he coming from. i would have kept the westerlings storyline instead of this talisa bytch.

So is the dude who chopped Jamies hand off Vargo Hoat or what? No Bloody Mummers? :manny:

he is vargo hoats replacement for the show. i read somewhere that they felt that tv watchers might find the bloody mummers and vargo hoat with his lisp too cartoony. also, using these guys gives more insight into the dreadfort and the bolton soldiers, who are the dirtbags of the north.

I think it adds to his character. It's all a game to Ramsay and he didn't want to end it just yet. Killing those men just made Theon trust him more. The psychological damage that Theon is about to go through is more :sadcam: than the physical damage imo (unless he gets his nuts chopped off).
