White Walkers takeover everything forcing Bran has to go back in time, basically restarting the story so it leaves, a bad but hopeful ending to change events and This fat fukk could finish his book with his true vision, so book readers are happy

still no excuse for how they rushed thru. I get why they didn't want to do what Martin and HBO wanted, ie multiple more 10 episode seasons. But it's clear they needed to ended the show with ten episodes, not 6. Just that extra four episodes could have fixed a lot of the nonsense they ran with.

And they fukking deserve it tooIt's still unbelievable how David Benioff and D.B Weiss fukked up the show. Not only did they ruin one of the potential GOAT shows, they pretty much killed off all the enthusiasm for future spin-offs. And I'm assuming most of the residual money (box sets, merchandise, etc.) that could've been banked for years has been ruined because nobody wants to be reminded of what the show became.
Worst of all is that these idiots rushed GoT so they could work on Star Wars, only to drop out of Star Wars projects after completely fukking up GoT
Thankfully they also nixed their 'Confederacy Won the War' show, imagine the shytshow that would've been
And after all their talk about how busy they are, all they have done after GoT is Gemini Man screenplay and a Leslie Jones comedy special
Best thing thing did in recent memory was being one bit one line side characters in a great Always Sunny episode

Bran was supposed to be the Night King. He was supposed to get trapped in the man’s body when the COTF turned him. They laid so many nuggets showing this was going to be the big reveal. Stop going back to the past trying to change shyt Bran. The ink is already dry Bran. The NK grabbing his arm and being able to warg. Bran taking over Hodor’s body and leaving him fukked up. Bloodraven going through all this trouble to get Bran up to his cave.....kinda seems dumb now. We still don’t know what the White Walkers wanted, what their goals were, etc. And the story was supposed to end with the Prince that was Promised killing someone he loved to forge a weapon to win a war. Jon didn’t kill Dani to win a war, the war was already won. Would’ve been more interesting to have Jon kill Bran to kill the Night King. It would’ve made the ending bitter sweet. It would’ve made Bloodraven wanting Bran to come to him make more sense as he was the key to ending the NK which is what Bloodraven would’ve cared about...he doesn’t give a shyt about putting Bran on the Iron Throne, he lived in a fukking tree. It would’ve gave us more insight into what the White Walkers were about through Bran. And afterwards it would’ve made sense for Jon to want to go North Beyond the Wall out of his own choices rather than being banished because after killing his own brother/cousin he’d be so fukked up he just want to start over. Dani should’ve still died before ever getting to touch the throne but they could’ve wrote that differently. And they should’ve just burned the Iron Throne and created a Senate or a triumvirate style system. So many things they should have done differently and so many things they teased in the books that now make little literary sense knowing the ending
Its the White Walkers and their King being asscheeks and light work in the end is what ruined it. You just can't build a character to be the ultimate bad ass like that and him ultimately wind up being SpongeBob Squarepants status in the end. You had to at least have him conquering a kingdom and/or ruling the entire land for at least a season or two the way they hyped him up and how the Night's Watch were shook to death of them
Also that religious cult being overpowered and having too much say so was kind of wack too

I'm still shocked that ABC let that IP fall to the waste-side like it did. Lost should've had 2-3 spinoff shows easily off of that. Dharma should've had its own show for sure. ABC really didn't eat off that show like they should have and is shocking and a crime to this very day. Lost was way bigger than even a show like The Walking Dead and that show is damn near is a foundational piece of AMC.

Listen....the first 4 seasons were the best TV show of all time.
They followed the books and moved the story along without feeing rushed.
5&6 I still loved but couldn’t help but notice what they were changing and what they were leaving out.
I wanted DESPERATELY to love the last 5-10 episodes and do still another as a general fan of the books...but it was clearly rushed and didn’t match the pace of the show.
