They did the same thing to Boardwalk Empire. I know its not on the same level of GoT but its a damn good show.

It was never good to begin with. The reason he couldn't finish the book was because the book was a whole bunch of nothing. I told people the ending would be terrible because too much of nothing was happening.

I got onto GOT real late and basically watched the whole thing in like a month and a half lol so I wasn't as emotionnaly attached as others, but that drop off was still epic and terribly frustrating. I'm always amazed at how people can fukk up something real good so badly. Like did they not know how people were obsessed with the show worldwide?

Yeah completely fukked up ending that made very little sense. I haven't had the urge to rewatch it either and that's what I do with shows all the damn time.
Should have just stayed away like I did during the first 3 seasons, but them b*stards eventually got me hooked in only to let me down.

The fukk were they thinking with that 2 hour series premiere
Boardwalk Empire was rushed and they did that dumbass time jump from the season prior to the final one (they jumped like 7 years in time, and we didn't get to see major historical events in the series)... but even still, it didn't end worse than GoT.
The ending for GoT was so bad because ultimately it felt like a waste of time for the payoff we got. BE ended better even with the bullshyt... and the season prior to the last one was excellent, that's why people were like that's crazy that they're ending it

The last season felt almost like D&D just wanted to play a joke on the fans and make it terrible and ridiculous. I mean, the 7th season was pretty ridiculous, especially with the whole Suicide Squad beyond-the-wall mission, but the last 20 minutes of the series finale felt like some sitcom.
The tone of the trial and the last council meeting was bizarre.
