Oh I agree. They fukked up by assuming Borros would be friendly to them based solely on his relation to Rhaneys, and because his father Boremund was friendly with Rhaenyra. They could have sent Rhaenys with Luke and have her treat with her cousin. But they calculated that it was more important to close off the gullet immediately with Rhaenys to control the seas and ports of King's Landing before Aegon could mount any counter measures. It was a misjudgment.I agree with you for the most part but I think there should have been more tact than just intimidation. The Greens obviously have dragons too.
But they def should have had something more to offer Borros. But this is true in both the book and the show, and shows that the greens were more politically savvy since they came with offers and deals. But Luke being 14 isn't the problem. We're going to literally see lords in the war that are his age (Bloody Ben Blackwood.)
